Not sure what you mean by a drip pan. The shelf will hold minor spills so clean up is easy. You can remove the bottom drawers to clean up below if you get something down there. you would need to be able to completely open the door though.

I purchased this unit to replace a previous GE with a chrome finish for a apt/condo. The older unit had black handles this has brushed chrome handles that I feel looks better. The unit is quieter than the old model was and has a better energy rating. (it's only been a few weeks but I'll see what my electric bill says.) The temperature control is clearly labeled. It's worked fine at the setting set by the delivery guy. The door shelves are an ample size for multiple two liter bottles and condiments plus a covered compartment (butter or whatever). The fridge compartment has 5 adjustable levels so you might want to play around with it a little for the layout you want for the two shelves. The drawer compartment on the one shelf could be a little larger. (lunchmeats, cheese, tofu, whatever) The freezer compartment has a straight wire rack and can be adjusted for either a third of the way up from the bottom or midway. So you can manage larger items. There is no icemaker but I believe there is an option for it. (I prefer to freeze block ice anyway (note my ice pick attached to the freezer door with suction cups.) My only complaint is when the unit arrives it is covered in a bluish plastic to protect the finish and is nearly impossible to completely remove especially near the hinges. It's not that noticeable but I know it's there. The only thing I'd like to see is to be able to move the two "climate control" drawers to a higher level instead of at the bottom, but If I moved them they wouldn't allow the door to close due the door shelf rails. Getting produce out of the drawers means bending for me. Overall it's a great apartment unit.

I received this refrigerator Jun15, 2018. By the end of July, I notice that the freezer was defective and has a build up of frost. GE has refused to replace the refrigerator. Two technicians have already serviced this refrigerator and the problem still exists. I do not recommend the purchase of this refrigerator. The GE one year warranty appears to be useless when they sell you a defective product. It only covers repairs, not replacement. It has been a nightmare. GE’s policy of only repairing and not replacing deffective products during the one year warranty period is a travesty to customers. They can simply run out the clock and then we’re stuck with the defective product. Home Depot has referred me to GE every time I call to request a replacement.

Needed 28" wide fridge, so very few choices. Preferred my last GE one to this, as shelving was more flexible than in this one, with a "stepped" shelf allowing for very tall bottles. This one only accommodates 1 or 2 very tall bottles in door, unless I remove or lower a shelf. Pros: Fits my space. Very quiet. Cons: Difficulty keeping it out of "Danger Zone" (according to my fridge thermometer purchased previously). Keep having to adjust temperature control above "recommended" setting to keep it at a safe temperature, even though door is not opened frequently and I never put anything hot in it. Might have to have this checked out, as temperature is not constant in any way. Also, see above regarding tall bottles.

Fits in our small bungalow
We are limited on space and this refrigerator fits perfectly in its space. I love that was able to get glass shelves.
