AnswersYes, you can use a garden hose to drain continuously into a drain or anywhere you wish. Just be sure that the hose gasket washer is in good condition and keep the hose lower than the drain port height of the dehumidifier.

I purchased this dehumidifier for a bathroom that has no windows.. I did a lot of looking around to find the best option. I’m so impressed with how great this little dehumidifier works! Best of all it’s sleek and doesn’t take much room! Totally blends with the rest of my bathroom decor.
I’m not using the hose option because the tank works perfect for my purposes. I never have to worry about it overfilling because the dehumidifier stops when the tank is full and notifies me with a few beeps.
I also love that it has 3 different settings for me to chose.
The only downside for me is the length of the power cord. Because it’s so short it limits where I can place it.
Overall very happy.

So I have just had this one full day and so far its excellent I live in Puerto Rico very close to the rainforest. And our house is pretty much very open to fresh air well with that being said the climate in the rainforest is wet hot excessively humid. So everything works against us the clothes in closets and or drawers are damp and moldy . Our indoor paint never lasts due to the humidity. So we have purchased 2 Dehumidifiers for now to place in two main bedrooms and so far so good. i have noticed the clothes are not damp so I want to say that problems fixed. We shall repaint and see how that holds up as well but for now I will say I'm pleased! Almost forgot to mention it runs quietly and only beeps when it needs emptying which also goes on auto shut down til empty.

I purchased this to put in the room in which I keep my gun collection ( 12x20). I don’t spend much time in there, so I can’t really comment about any noise it might make.
But it does a great job of keeping the moisture at an acceptable level.
I also really like the controls on this unit, as well as the fact that it is very easy to empty when full. Seems well made, and I think that I will buy another one for use in a parked classic car. It does cycle on and off as needed to achieve your desired humidity setting. Little cheaper units don’t compare. I have already been through two of those, while this keeps humming along a year later.
