Asked by Fernando December 25, 2020

Hi Fernando, thanks for your question! Using the Wash Zones feature saves around 25% water and energy. The unit still has to run the upper wash a bit on the lower wash zone and vice versa. This shortens the overall cycle time by about 30%. We hope this helps and that you're staying safe. Best wishes. -Michael@GEA

It's hard to say anything.
We decided to upgrade our appliances looked at them at the store and then ordered them online. Our previous dishwasher was still working we were going to upgrade. Newer dishwashers are definitely flimsier than older dishwashers we couldn't find a tougher looking model so we went with this one. It was delivered on March 25th. Correction the installers arrived on the 25th. Looked under the sink took a picture of a valve that had a little patina on it. And told me it had to be replaced they couldn't do the installation of plumber had to come. It was a solid copper valve I had installed two years ago and it was not corroded it was just fine. There was no talking to this guy cuz he didn't know what he was talking about to begin with so I let him go on. They put the dishwasher in our garage and the plumber was coming the next day to do the install. They took out my solid copper valve and put in a shoddy looking silver thing and installed the dishwasher only to discover that water was spewing out of the top of the motor or the pump and it wasn't going to work. They couldn't put back in my old one and a new one wouldn't arrive until April 16th. Two guys arrive today both smelling like they soaked their clothing in bad cologne put in the dishwasher with nearly two inches of space at the top between the counter and the dishwasher and no kick plate. Tried to tell me that there that was the kick plate that was in the back but that is not a kick plate. And if they screwed the legs up they would fall off to be high enough. The one that they took out had fit. So I sent them on their merry way. Oh and before they left I asked him how would I know now that this isn't going to leak like the other one. His answer to that was the wash cycle takes an hour if there's water on the floor then it's leaking. I found that to be a little bit of an inferior answer. So now they're sending a plumber to inspect the installation and look into the kick plate thing and hopefully raise it up so that it fits properly. All of this has totaled four of my days off. Completely unacceptable and inferior installations. The plumber they sent to replace the, perfectly good ,valve was a nice guy. He was just sent to do what he was told to do ,even though it didn't need to be done. Can't speak on the quality of this piece of equipment. It's pretty flimsy as far as I'm concerned but unless you want to pay over $1,000 for a dishwasher this is what you get. And the ones over $1,000 aren't much better.

Falling apart after 2 years
This dishwasher is poorly designed. The handle has broken after 2 years of use just from opening and closing the plastic wore out and snapped off. Now the power keeps cutting out and everything that ge tells me it could be you can't even buy parts for. I would never recommend a ge product since the "warranty" doesn't cover any of these manufacturer mistakes even though that's what a warranty is for. My last dishwasher lasted 15 years without any repair. 2 years, really? Things cost more nowadays and you can't even get quality products anymore.

Looks great
Appliances look very nice in Slate. We have the matching suite and have loved all of them so far. We have not had the dishwasher long enough to speak on longevity but it all works well, the lights are great. The best thing is the 3rd shelf on top for flatware or other dishwasher safe cooking tools, ie wooden spoons, ice cream scoop, plastic cooking spoons.

Dishwasher and Range
Good products and reasonable price only issue the spoons holder hole not accepting some knife or spoons
So many features!!
This dishwasher is amazing! You have the option to just wash the top or bottom rack, so many different wash options, and the the rack is the best! Tons of room too!

Superior Clean
We purchased this built-in to replace a portable GE dishwasher (which had lasted 20+ years) during a recent kitchen renovation. It is powerful and yet amazingly quiet while it is running. I love the third rack on top for silverware. It makes it easier to unload and sort the utensils after the cycle has finished. This model also has bottle jets which can be turned on or off, depending on need. While I love those jets for power washing bottles, cans, and yogurt containers for recycling, they do not accommodate larger re-usable water bottles - there is not enough clearance with the third rack above. I was amazed the first few times I ran a load of dishes at how sparkling clean everything came out, and realize my old portable probably should have been replaced a long time ago. I love the results of a clean load of dishes. The only disadvantage is the buttons on the front; contact with them, can set off the alarm that the DW is not closed, but was an attempted start. Easy enough to fix by simply holding in the Start button for 3 seconds, but we did not realize how sensitive those buttons would be. Lots of run options, including sanitize and boost wash temp heat and boost dry (REALLY HOT! - use with caution and no plastic lids in bottom rack when you do...). Overall, I am immensely satisfied with this purchase, and hope that is lasts as long as my last GE dishwasher did.
Looks Great - Doesn't Dry Well
We love the slate finish and are fans of GE appliances. However, this dishwasher doesn't seem to dry very well. Although it dried our dishes, the top, sides, and bottom of the appliance were soaking wet. It makes us concerned that it will begin getting a mildew smell. If this improves after running it a few more times, I will come back and give it a higher ranking.
