Asked by abs February 16, 2019Looks like 9" to 11" will fit nicely and perhaps a bit more depending on the size of the bottle opening. The upper rack is adjustable.

Asked by Lee March 17, 2020The upper tray is mostly for cups, glasses and smaller items where the washing pressure is not as high as those for the bottom tray. If you place small items on the bottom tray, they may come off the rack and get chipped.
