27 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator in Fingerprint resistant, stainless with Internal Dispenser, Energy Star

I bought GE to support USA business. I deeply regret this purchase. I will save my money to replace this fridge and never buy GE again. After just over a year of extremely normal use, side door shelf cracked, bottom freezer slider not working right. I can hear the condensor all the time, it sounds like the fridge is dying. It is a very nice looking but shoddy interior design with cheap parts, I just know the condensor is going out, that sound is NOT normal. Very disappointed.

We've had ours for almost a year now it's very loud, several of the shelves in the door have cracked, and the ice drawer is annoying every time we open the freezer ice falls out.

Horrible design i didnt know i was buying a refrigerator that was designed so poorly the ice machine shutoff switch was made so that when u close the freezer the height of the ice piles up and hits the switch to cutoff except they make such small mini ice cubes there not heavy enuff when the shuttoff switch hits the ice it just pushes it out the way and keeps on making ice so everytime u open the freezer theres ice overflowing all over the place ,this is just ridiculous when u spend this much money on something you expect it to work! Then they force you to buy some stupid hose to connect it then they charge for setup then they get here and say oh that i have an old copper line they cant hook it up and they wouldnt touch it so i have a line here brand new in the package that they left here because i paid for it and a refrigerator that wasnt hooked up! I had to hook it up myself ,the line that came off the old fridge that was copper easily just screwed right on to the fridge water outlet! This is ridiculous.they force all these charges on you and dont even refund them when they refuse to hook up your refrigerator! So mad ? about this and this chafa refrigerator! Im seriously thinking about closing my home depot acct and not shopping here anymore ! Just an all around bad experience! And it wasnt the installers fault they give them the stupidest guidlines and they cant risk there job and they didnt force me to buy a (upgraded braided steel hose) to hook it up ! Home depot did that! And since they couldnt use it they couldnt hook it up ! ? ? just look for a better place to buy apliances because home depot sux! Force you to buy things you dont need and then make u keep them when they refuse to install and they rip you off on the install to because they refuse to install but they sure dont take the charge off they just keep it so your out all the money on the install and the stupid hose you didnt need that they forced me to buy! Total sham feels like your being nickel and dimed to death

I’ve had this fridge for less than 2 days and already dislike it. First of all this refrigerator is WAY louder than our last fridge, which is extremely disappointing and annoying. I can literally hear it on the other side of my house. The only time it’s quiet is when it’s dead silent when it’s not running, which is hardly ever. Apparently that makes it energy efficient LOL but NOT GREAT for a quiet house with remote work. My second major complaint is that Fairlife milk doesn’t fit on top of the main shelf without having to move a shelf to give way too much room above the milk and then a useless shelf of about 3 inches of clearance. The milk only needs another inch to be perfect- who measured this shelving? It would be fine if a left shelf could be used as a right shelf or vice versa, but they are not interchangeable. Am I supposed to put heavy milk in the door so that the door breaks over time?? Or on a shelf up high that can’t bear the weight of 8 milk containers the way the bottom shelf can? Again, LOL If the fridge were quiet and had more shelving options (with more holes in the back in which to insert the shelves, like so many others), this fridge would be almost perfect. But alas, whomever designed this did not consider usability or livability, and I did not notice the inadequate shelving adjustments at purchase. (OR the noise but I never saw it plugged in anywhere!!) The last downside is that I couldn’t find a similar model without ice or water - we don’t even have a water line at the fridge location in the kitchen! I wish they made these optional or add-ons. Thankfully I got this sucker on sale because I wouldn’t like to pay more for things I don’t even need, want or have an ability to use. Our next fridge will probably be a Bosch 800 series. Hopefully this one at least lasts a while to get my money’s worth, but I’m definitely not thrilled with my purchase. Very sad my last fridge went out and that returning a refrigerator is such a hassle.

I was turning the front right leveling leg out when the threads stripped out & it wouldn't turn out or in after that. I believe it stripped out because the threads on the leg are metal but the threads on the frame are plastic. Because it stripped out I had to use a block of wood under the leg to level it out. I was also disappointed because I thought the whole frig was stainless steel but just the door is stainless steel.

I have owned this piece of junk for a year.. all the shelves and drawers are breaking. I didn't notice this when I bought it. If you fell the thickness of the plastic shelves you can fell how thin they are. Compared to other refrigerators. Please don't buy this if you use your refrigerator food and beverages. If you just put leftover from take out you will probably be okay.

Awesome fridge at an ENTRY LEVEL PRICE!!!! Got it on sale for about $1599 installed. It's perfect for me and my empty nester husband. The ice maker is the best I've ever owned. The inside is well-lit and nice. The shelving isn't high-end... but it's nice and adequate. We've had it now for over 4 months and are still 100% thrilled with this refrigerator. If you need a lot of freezer space, this is NOT the refrigerator for you. Or you should have a deep freezer or spare ref. somewhere else in the house. For us? we just need the ice and room for our YASSO BARS! :-) I highly recommend this refrigerator for 1-3 person households. Or for larger households if you have a spare refrigerator. Or if you go to the grocery a lot, like us. We are empty nesters who go to the small grocery near our house almost daily. We have MUCH less food waste now that we buy what we need when we need it. I swear, our grocery savings have probably already paid for this refrigerator. :-)

Beautiful and bright. So much space. Very happy with it.

I had this French door GE delivered last Friday. I had a plumbing company hook up the water line on Wednesday as this was the earliest appointment. Today I went in the basement to see water all over the floor. I called the plumber back and he came over immediately, He checked his original connection and it was dry. Then he tried the bottle filer on the left side of the fridge. Water shot out of the bottom and sprayed all over. Once he stopped filling the leak stoped. He said it was a bad connection within the fridge or a split plastic piping. I called Home Depot and they basically blew me off. Sorry you had only 48 hours to return the product. If you bring it back we will try to work something out? They said call GE because it is under warranty. But Home Depot is under no obligation to handle my problem. Never again will I ever purchase any big ticket item at Home Depot. At the time I bought the appliance package. I spent the last two hours trying to get GE to fix it. As I said never again Home Depot.

Fridge has been great so far. Plenty of space in both the fridge and freezer. Only downfall was the delivery process, ended up taking way longer than expected and delivery was delayed two separate times on the day of. So ended up calling off work 3 different days for this to be delivered. Both the water dispenser and ice maker have been great, no complaints.
