can this unit be used as a quick disconnect for an electical hot water heater-240V

If this unit cannot be used, is there an electrical quick disconnect you would recomment. HW tank is more than 6' from panel box (code)

I have 10/2 plus ground for my water heater what disconnect do I use for 3 wires in and 3 wired out?

You could get something like this - https://www.homedepot.com/p/Eaton-AC-Disconnect-30-Amp-2-Pole-Fusible-NEMA-3R-DPF221RP/202106492. The 2 feeds are disconnected when off - the ground should always be complete.

Your answer is the half1/2 inchknockout is .859, outside diameter the 3/4 inch is 1.094 outside diameter and the 1 inch is 1.359 outside diameter.
