Answer

Hi tausciam, Good question! We thank you for choosing GE Appliances and we'd be happy to help you with the clock on your range. To set the clock to 24 hour time, first press the broil and bake buttons until "SF"(Special Features) appears on the display. Then hit the "Timer" button until you see "Off" on the display. Next, press "Timer" twice and you should see "24". When you see "24" press the "Start" button and you should be finished. You can also find these instructions in the Use and Care guide. This resource can be found using the following link: (Page 14) https://images.homedepot-static.com/catalog/pdfImages/2a/2a16c6b7-787b-411a-b53e-03f836aee9bd.pdf If the ranges' buttons are functioning improperly, you may have to replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker in your home. Please reach out to us by email or social media if these tips don't work. Have a great day! -Sylvia@GEA

Can you replace the sensi temp burner with a non sensi temp burner

Asked by Mojo December 29, 2020
1
Answer

Hi Mojo - Thank you for reaching out to us. Beginning in 2018, Underwriter's Laboratory (UL) regulation requires all coil top ranges to have temperature limiting capabilities to reduce the risk of cooktop oil and grease fires. As a result, our electric coil burners now use Sensi-Temp Technology. The sensi-temp burners cannot be replaced with burners that do not have the sensi-temp technology. Our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause you. Vikki@GEA

how to set to clean

Asked by Kathy November 15, 2020

Answer

Hi Kathy. Thank you for trusting us to help. We recommend you read the self-cleaning oven safety instructions listed on page 7 of the owner's manual prior to self-clean here: https://images.homedepot-static.com/catalog/pdfImages/77/7720c3af-fa5c-45f2-bd91-e7d2322c5ab1.pdf - Before operating the self-clean cycle, wipe up grease and soils from the oven. Remove all items from the oven other than enameled (dark colored) rack. Shiny or silver racks and any cookware or other items should all be removed from the oven before initiating a self-clean cycle. Close and latch the door. Next, press the Self Clean pad. A default self-clean time will be displayed. The clean time can be changed to any time between 3:00 and 5:00 hours by using the + or - pads to enter a different time and pressing Start. For heavily soiled ovens, the maximum 5 hour clean time is recommended. If you wish to use the default time, press the Start pad immediately after pressing the Self Clean pad. The oven will turn off automatically when the self-clean cycle is complete and the self-clean light will be off. Slide the latch handle to the left as far is it will go and open the door. Never force the latch handle. Forcing the handle will damage the door lock mechanism. After the oven has cooled down wipe any ash out of the oven. You can find this information on page 21 of the owner's manual. We hope these are the instructions you needed! If you have any other questions, you can reach out to us via e-mail through the Contact Us page on our website and a member of our team will be glad to help. - Guy@GEA

Answer

Hello Erc, Thank you for reaching out to us about this amazing electric range. We are sorry to hear that you have been unable to open the door and we can understand how frustrating this must be. We are more than happy to help! It sounds as though you have latched the door for the self cleaning cycle. Please first try to unlatch the door and then open. If there is food in the oven, let the oven cool to room temperature and try to unlatch the door. If no food or utensils are in the oven, start a self-clean cycle, then hit Clear/Off after 60 seconds. If that does not unlock the door, run a short self-clean cycle (1-2 hours). With electronic ranges there is a small chance that turning the circuit breaker off for a few minutes and turning it back on can release the door latch to the "off". If door does not unlatch, and you do have food in the oven, wait for oven to cool completely and try again. If it still will not open, service is required. To schedule service call GE Appliance service at 1-800-432-2737. We hope this information is helpful, feel free to reach out again with any other questions you may have. Have a great day!- Avery@GEA

It’s looking good
Arrived today 3/21. Very happy so far. Purchased this over cause of remodel of kitchen. Can’t believe I spent the money just to change the color. I only buy GE appliances. My last stove was 25 years old and it worked perfect, and it still looked new.

I love it you guys are the best
Omg I love this so much . GE HAS ALWAYS HAVE HAD GREAT PRODUCTS

Nice looking stove
I was definitely not satisfied with first stove delivered the second one was fine. I am attaching some pictures. I can't add them all and can't send a picture of all the greasy fingerprints on it. Looked like someone ate greasy chicken and forgot to wash hands. The stove wasn't even in a box the first time and looked worse than a floor model. I am satisfied with the 2nd one delivered but shouldn't have had to wait a month to get what I ordered.

New stove
We love our new stove, but the manufacturer didn’t do a great job at all putting it together. There are parts by the top that do not line up & look incomplete. Other than that so far I like it.

Works like it was expected!!
Really good product I liked !! And also looks great on my kitchen.

What more could you want?
Fantastic stove, esp. in black, which goes well with our kitchen theme. Burners heat up in half the time as before. Stable, solid, well-built. Very easy-to-read digital readout. Timer feature very helpful. You never use oven cleaner on this oven, it cleans itself. Just got to keep it clean on the outside with soap and water. I can't figure out why people need to spend $2,000 on an electric stove when this one is a bargain, well-built. Solid craftsman ship. Absolutely recommended. Home Depot got this to us in only three days during the Pandamic of 2020.

My 1st Electric stove.
Top part is easy to use, but removing the grills not easy to clean. Broiler panels preheat to get to needed temperature is difficult. Read the instruction manual 3xs.

Perfect
Just received my new range. Ordered it with out seeing it in store. It's perfect just what I wanted. Love the new features on the stove. Sensi-temp technology coils are so much safer.
