Hey Epark9, we appreciate you taking the time to contact us. This range requires a 40 amp circuit breaker. We're hoping this is the information you needed to see! We'd love to have you in the GE Appliances family. - Guy@GEA
There is an oven light that allows you to see through the window
Hello marmar88, thanks for coming to us with your concern. We're sorry your frypans and pots aren't sitting level on your raised burners. We know this must get annoying so we're happy to help. We recommend the following: 1) Turn the power off to the range at the breaker or fuse box. 2) Remove the heating element from its socket. 3) Carefully re-insert the element into its receptacle. 4) If there is a slot in the drip pan, make sure that the brackets on the bottom of the element fit into the slots in the pan. This keeps the element steady and in place. You can see more about how to replace the burner on page 16 of your owner's manual here: https://images.homedepot-static.com/catalog/pdfImages/a7/a78a17ca-7adc-4402-b13f-541bb04cf711.pdf - We're wishing you the best and want you to know if you have any other questions, you can reach out to us via e-mail using the Contact Us page on our website and a member of our team will be happy to help. - Guy@GEA
Hi Pat, Thanks for asking! We appreciate your loyalty to GE Appliances, and we'd be happy to help you with your range. The following link will take you to instructions for setting your oven's temperature: (Page 10-Oven Controls) https://images.homedepot-static.com/catalog/pdfImages/a7/a78a17ca-7adc-4402-b13f-541bb04cf711.pdf If there are any further questions or concerns, please contact us. Hi Tim - Thanks for reaching out! We truly appreciate you considering this electric free-standing range for your home and are happy to answer this for you. This model has an actual overall width of 30", as well as a height of 47" and depth of 28". This range may be placed with 0” clearance at the back wall and side walls of the cabinet. You can see additional details of this opening on page 2 of the Installation Guide. However, if your opening is less than 30", you may want to consider either a 27" free-standing model or a 30" slide-in configuration that will have a slightly smaller exact width to fit in a standard 30" cabinet opening. Please feel free to reach out to us via our Contact Us page online if you would like assistance in this. We hope that this helps! -Eliza@GEA
Hi Candee - Thanks for reaching out! We truly appreciate your interest in this electric range and are happy to answer this for you. Starting in 2018, a safety regulation required all coil top ranges to have temperature limiting capabilities (safety coils) to reduce the risk of cooktop oil and grease fires. As a result, our electric coil burners, like this range, now use Sensi-Temp Technology. When the sensor detects a pan temperature near the limit, the burner will shut off automatically until a lower, safe pan temperature is reached. This will not affect everyday cooking because the automatic shut-off is temporary and only happens at very high temperatures. We hope that this information helps to clarify! -Eliza@GEA
Greetings Chuck, We appreciate you reaching out. We're happy to help. This range requires 40 amps. Stay safe! Mike@GEA
Hi JOE - Thanks for reaching out to us and for choosing this range for your home! We are sorry to hear of the error code you are seeing and are happy to offer you some guidance in this. Fault codes are programmed within your unit's controls to help GE Appliances Service technicians quickly diagnose issues with the range. Sometimes shutting off the circuit breaker for 30 seconds will clear the fault code, however there are some cases when further service may be required. - An F9 code typically means that a component has failed somewhere in the door lock circuit or an internal component needs to be replaced. If you attempt a reset of the electronic controls and find that the fault code does not clear, we would recommend that you schedule a service appointment by calling 1-800-432-2737 Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. ET; Saturday – Sunday: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET to correct the issue. We also recommend that you turn the range off at the breaker until you have it serviced. We hope that this helps! -Eliza@GEA
I have not even remotely had a problem with the coils, mine work fine for boiling pasta, so I really don’t think there would be a reason to replace them.
