The hood is designed to be vented vertically using a 7” round duct or a 3 ¼” x 10” rectangular duct or horizontally using a 3 ¼” x 10” rectangular duct. Ductwork is not supplied with the hood. If more information regarding installation may be helpful, you can view installation instructions starting on page 9 of the manual, linked here: https://images.thdstatic.com/catalog/pdfImages/47/47e222c1-0a33-44bb-98bc-6629922fdd57.pdf . -Sarah@GEAppliances
This hood can be used with you range. We recommend you review the Installation Instructions on pages 7-17 of the Owner's Manual: https://images.thdstatic.com/catalog/pdfImages/88/8814e366-7d3d-4872-bd0f-175d22c4880f.pdf.
This model can be vented to the outside or to recirculate. If it's set to recirculate, you should feel it venting. If it is venting to the outside, you may be able to hear it when you are outside of your home.
There certainly is a power cord kit! The part number for that is JXHC1 and it can be found on our GE Appliances parts website.
This model comes with GU10 35W halogen bulbs.
An optional power cord kit JXHC1 is available at an extra cost if you'd like to purchase the cord instead of hard wiring it. This is located on the back left side as well. NOTE: If using optional Power Cord Kit JXHC1, feed the power cord through the hole in the top cabinet while raising the hood. Loop any excess length of cord and tie away with a suitable tape or tie. Please refer to page 16 in the installation instructions.
The height and width are the exact same for both models. The depth for the JVX3300DJBB is 30" compared to the 17 1/2" with the JV347X1WW. If you have the space to accommodate the depth difference, then this unit would be a great addition to your home. We recommend you review the "Mounting Space" section on pg. 9 of the Owner's Manual: https://images.thdstatic.com/catalog/pdfImages/88/8814e366-7d3d-4872-bd0f-175d22c4880f.pdf.
It is recommended that the charcoal filter be replaced every 6-12 months or if it is noticeably dirty or discolored. For more information, see the Charcoal Filter section on page 5 of the Owner’s Manual: https://images.thdstatic.com/catalog/pdfImages/88/8814e366-7d3d-4872-bd0f-175d22c4880f.pdf
