I have one in my apartment & one in my basement
I have had this exact same dehumidifier down in my basement for the past 2 years saving all of my storage items from mold because it is an incredibly damp basement. I've been having a lot of moisture problems in my apartment, with condensation on my windows and mold. I don't know why it took me two years to think of buying one for my apartment but I'm so glad I did! In just one week they I've had it, it has already had to be emptied three times! I will forever say it's a little loud. I use the smart dry feature so it just turns on and off on its own as needed, but a lot of times I turn it off if I'm doing something near it because it can be a little loud. For me personally, the sound Is it perfectly fine trade off for starting to have a dryer apartment.

Don’t expect any longevity. Won’t last long
Product worked good at first. Was bought on 8/28/2022 and it stopped working on 9/15/2023. Bought because it had good reviews and didn’t want to have to replace one every year. Apparently it’s easier (and cheaper) to buy crap and replace it yearly then it is to spend more on a good brand.

Unit is a month and a half old. Display already broken, has been shutting off by itself and not working even when it’s not full. It sucks I spent 200$ for this thing to work great for a month and then be so inconsistent I have to figure out another plan to keep water out of my utility room. Joys of being a new homeowner! I don’t have a lot of money but must need a nicer one to last long :/ it worked great until it started breaking

Works fast
We have a 1960’s bomb shelter that was damp and smelly. Within 24 hours it was much improved. Within a week the dampness was gone, it doesn’t smell and we still empty it daily. I recommend this product

Great for tropical weather
So far so good. Had it for about two months and it’s kept my living room between 45-60 (humidity) wise. I live in an extremely humid area so this has been great to curb mold and help the ACs run less hot. I dump my container at least twice daily.

can't get to drain... weak plastic connector point
this is the 2nd GE dehumidifier I have purchased in last month. Because the first one broke at the plastic connector to hook up a drain for the appliance, and I didnt know. So I had to empty the bucket and wonder why it wasn't draining out the hose. after a few days plumber came back and saw was broken at hose connect, so he had me take it back and when I got this new one (same Model) They came back to hook it up, put a new hose on it, and turned it on. It ran nicely and the next morning when I went to basement to check it, the EMPTY light was flashing, and it had stopped, so I had to empty the bucket myself. --now its been a week, and I have to empty it 3 times a day or it doesn't run, ALL because I can't get anyone to help figure out why it wont drain. I'm an old tired lady. Bummed! any ideas? I gone thru almost all YouTube videos.

drippy dehumidifer
Purchased two of these GE dehumidifers. Worked great. Until I noticed water that leaked from the bottom and ruined my laminate floor in both places. They were emptied and filters stayed clean.
