Not loud. About like a fan on high.
Hi PATIAN23, thanks so much for reaching out. We're sorry to hear that your dehumidifier isn't working well. We'd recommend taking a look at an article on our website titled "DEHUMIDIFIER CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE" to see if that helps. If it does not and your unit is not gathering water, then it is not operating as intended. We do not service dehumidifiers so if you were wanting to have someone out to take a look, we'd recommend reaching out to a local servicer. If service is not cost effective, and the unit is still not operating as it should, then a replacement may be necessary. All the best. -Michael@GEA
Hello Helen, We appreciate you reaching out. We're sorry to hear that your hose isn't draining correctly. We understand how that would be frustrating. If water is not draining through the hose, check the following: Make sure you have a good connection where the garden hose attaches and that there is a rubber washer properly installed in the end of the garden hose. If the connection is loose, gently tighten the connection with pliers. If the hose is pushed into a drain (like a standpipe), make sure it is not pushed in too far. If the hose is touching water, it will not drain. Pull out the hose until the hose outlet is above the water line. Cut off any excess hose so that it is moving in a straight line to the drain. Avoid using an old or damaged garden hose. Clean dehumidifier drain and hose: 1.If there is water in bucket, empty bucket. 2.Unplug unit. 3.Clean dehumidifier drain with a baby bottle brush or pipe cleaner (like used for kids crafts). 4.Clean drain hose with the same. 5.Make sure drain hose is routed downward. If the drain line is mounted at a steep angle downward less material will accumulate in hose and drain. Hope this helps! Mike@GEA
Yes. It has 4 wheels.
Hi Buff - Thanks for reaching out to us and for choosing this dehumidifier for your home! We are sorry to hear of the issues you are having in connecting a drain hose and are happy to offer you some guidance in this. This dehumidifier can be connected to a standard garden hose to allow collected water to continuously drain to a floor drain. To make this connection, remove the bucket, open the drain cover on the back of the unit, thread a standard garden hose onto the drain nozzle, cut the hose to length, and lead it to the floor drain. - We would recommend that you avoid using an old or damaged garden hose. You will also want to make sure you have a good connection where the garden hose attaches and that there is a rubber washer properly installed in the end of the garden hose. If the connection is loose, gently tighten the connection with pliers. If you continue to have issues with this connection, please reach out to us via our Contact Us page online and we will be happy to help you further. Please include your name, address, phone number, and the model and serial numbers for your appliance. We hope that this helps! -Eliza@GEA
Hi MJ, we're very sorry your dehumidifier isn't collecting water. We know this is worrisome and we're happy to help. First, try to reset the dehumidifier by disconnecting power for 30 seconds and re-connecting the power. If the unit is still not collecting water, please refer to the model's warranty located in the Owner's Manual. Your unit is covered for one year if anything fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship. You can see this on page 11 here: https://images.homedepot-static.com/catalog/pdfImages/c5/c5fc18b6-7e95-489c-aa63-e5996c83e8ad.pdf - If the unit is out of warranty and in need of a repair, check with local servicers to see if they service dehumidifiers. We hope this helps. If you have any other questions, you can reach out to us via e-mail through the Contact Us page on our website and a member of our team will be glad to help. - Guy@GEA

Hi Danny - Thank you for reaching out to us! We truly appreciate your interest in this dehumidifier and are happy to provide you with guidance on calculating what is needed for your space. To properly size a dehumidifier, you will want to account for both the size of area, as well as the humidity level of the location it will be operating in. - Assuming an eight-foot ceiling, we would recommend a 40 pt. dehumidifier for an 800 square foot room and a 50 pt. dehumidifier for a 1000 square foot room. If your ceiling is 10”, you will want to add 25% to the room square footage for this approximation. - When using a dehumidifier in a basement, we would recommend a 40 pt. model for a space that feels damp and has musty odor only in humid weather, a 50 pt. model for a space that always feels damp and has musty odor, or feels and smells wet, and a 70 pt. model for an extremely wet space with laundry drying, wet floor, or high load conditions. - We sincerely hope that this information is helpful for you in determining which dehumidifier is right for you! -Eliza@GEA
When I first turned it on I had the same issue. Turn up the percentage and turn it back down to the percentage you want and see if that fixes your issue.
Hello Rg, Thank you for reaching out to us about this amazing dehumidifier. This is a great question and we are happy to help with this. The running amp draw for this unit is between 4.2 and 5.6. The max amp draw for this unit is between 9.6 and 12.8. Please note that all dehumidifiers use a 15 amp fuse or breaker. We hope this information helps, feel free to reach out again with any other questions you may have. Have a great day!-Avery@GEA
