Can this cord be used in a home built before 1980 or do I need one that has a 'ground' wire on it?
Asked by: DKS
For safety purposes I would make sure to install the grounded cord on the appliance and have an electrician install the corresponding outlet for your plug. I believe this cord being 3 prong has a dedicated ground.
