Questions & Answers

One of the four terminal lugs is seated so tight that the slotted head has all but stripped out (from the factory).

Are replacement terminal lugs available at Home Depot?
Asked by: GR
Probably not, probably easier to return it, and get a new 1. They are usually only around $15.00.

I have one of these on my A.C. unit. It was running fine the other day, now it won't turn on. I have checked the condensation line, the thermostat, and the breaker. They all seem to be functioning fine. I am wondering if anyone has ever had or heard of one of these disconnects just crapping out, and not making a good connection anymore? I just want to know if I should even bother trying to replace it or just save my money.
Asked by: Mac
It could be a cause of a problem if the wires connections are not tight or the pull out is not pushed in all the way.

What is the difference between a fused and nonfused unit

Asked by: Alex
This is a simple pull out disconnect. Does not use fuses. 1 less place for a problem. A fused disconnect would have a switch and fuse holders. The pull out costs less and no worrying about blown fuses. They are usually protected at the breaker box.
