Does this equipment come with a grider ?

Asked by Eli March 3, 2021

Answer

Hello Eli! Thanks for your question. We found that a grinder is not included in the installation kit. You can find what is included in the kit on page 2 of the Use and Care manual online at this link: https://images.homedepot-static.com/catalog/pdfImages/cb/cba37d35-4adf-420c-b375-e19a599bc05f.pdf We hope this helps! What size plates (max. diameter) can fit on the lower rack?

Asked by KHarvey February 24, 2021

Answers

The lower rack will handle very large plates, especially with the adjustable middle rack. We have a large plate set, and the unit held and cleaned those well.

Can this dishwasher be hooked up to the cold water line and be heated internally?

Asked by Red February 20, 2021

Answers

You should only hook up the dishwasher to the hot water line to get your dishes the cleanest and for sanitation. Most dishwashers have an internal heating element to add additional heat for cleaning/sanitation but they are not going to get the water hot enough for optimal cleaning.

My diswasher will start , but wont fill with water?

Asked by Kira February 13, 2021

Answers

Hello Kira, Great question! We are glad you reached out to us. It would be our pleasure to help you with your dishwasher. We apologize for the issues you've been having, and we know how inconvenient this must be for you. When a dishwasher will not fill with water, we recommend checking the flood float. The flood float keeps the dishwasher from overfilling with water. If stuck, it will prevent water from entering the dishwasher. Remove the Ultra-Fine filter and lightly tap the piece under the ultra fine filter that looks like a salt shaker. Then replace the filter. We also suggest checking the water supply line for any kinks or clogs. For more troubleshooting tips use the link below. (Page 23- Troubleshooting) https://images.homedepot-static.com/catalog/pdfImages/11/11fb4f40-3ceb-470d-a784-a41fc250eb2e.pdf Let us know if we can help with any further questions or concerns. Does an air gap come with this ?

Asked by Kat February 5, 2021

Answers

Our unit did not come with an air gap. It did come with a two-section hose that connects the dishwasher to the air gap. So you need to get (or save) your air gap. You also need to get a clamp to connect the hose sections to each other and a second clamp to connect the hose to the air gap.

Dishwasher won’t turn on. I yhink its the motherboard. How can I get this repaired. Is there a warranty that covers this?

Asked by Diana January 19, 2021

Answers

Hi Diana - Thank you for your patience! We are very sorry to hear that your dishwasher is not turning on and can imagine that this would be a very frustrating experience for you. We are happy to offer you some guidance in this. If the dishwasher has no power going to it (display not lighting and is non-responsive), there are a few things you can do to try and resolve the issue. Make sure the dishwasher door is closed tightly and is latched correctly. Make sure the Lock Feature, that prevents the dishwasher from accidentally being turned on, is turned to Off. Lastly, you will want to check your unit's power supply by resetting your home's fuse or circuit breaker for the dishwasher. - If this is a new installation and there is no power, you will want to have the installation checked by your installer, as the manufacturer's warranty does not cover installation issues. If the above suggestions do not resolve the issue, service may be needed to properly diagnose the unit. You can schedule an appointment with GE Factory Service by calling 1-800-432-2737 Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. ET, Saturday – Sunday: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET, or schedule online at any time. We hope that this helps! -Eliza@GEA

Dry cycle, under normal dry cycle are the dishes supposed to be dripping wet? Do i always have to use dry boost high in order for the dishes to dry?

We have had the dishwasher for several weeks now and even on the high temperature drying option our dishes are wet. I just think the drying mechanism is not great for this machine. Wish I knew this prior to purchase.

Nice sleek and quiet unit. Unfortunately it’s not a true matte black finish. It is more of a grey as you can see next to our white cabinets and true matte black sink. It doesn’t look bad at all though. Still blends in and is a beautiful piece and collection by GE

Do not buy this dishwasher
We bought this dishwasher in December. Delivered on Dec. 29th. We installed, ran a wash load and it was a waterfall in the basement. The dishwasher was leaking from the back right corner of the tub. Called Home Depot and they scheduled an immediate replacement. Marked it as a manufacturing defect as the tub side and bottom had a gap where the dishwasher leaked during was cycle. Replacement delivered 1/19/21. On 1/26/21, leaking again in the exact same spot. This dishwasher has a clear manufacturing defect and is garbage.

Purchased in June
So I purchased this back in June of 2020 and received in July of 2020. GE handle discounting due to back order during Covid well. I thought they were more than fair. Delivery was a joke. I am unsure what the third party delivering this and "installing" it was but I wouldn't recommend them being used in the future. They yanked out the old one before looking at how it was set up preventing them from being able to install the new one. Requiring a plumber the day before July 4th which wasn't possible through their service because July 4th. I had to contact several people at Home Depot eventually contacting a store manager for my local Home Depot. She was more than kind, and said she would reimburse any cost of a plumber to come install it. I not happy about the install to this day but that is between Rotorooter and I now. The door on this has horrible color issues since I've received it. And I am unsure how to remedy it. The inside of it is supposed to be stainless steel, but using the brand of detergent GE recommend has all types of staining issues. I have reached out to GE without any luck of calls back. I will try again getting ahold of someone after Christmas/New Years. Originally it was so quite and seems like it keeps getting louder. There is also the shelving issues. It seems like a good idea to have that small shelf up top but it occasionally gets in the way for large cups, and has to be pulled out. I am not satisfied with this purchase, and I would recommend taking a trip to your local store to see this prior to purchasing.

As far as dishwashers go, it is very pretty. It is also VERY quiet. You almost can't tell that it is running. It does not clean well. They designed it in a way that doesn't allow the soap door to pop open properly if there is a dis in front of where the door should pop. I do like the top (3rd) level where I can put large utensils and not have to worry about them falling through the racks. One very important note. Read all of the instructions prior to installation day. This requires a dedicated outlet.

Super quiet operation
Doing a new kitchen and appliances and all in stainless steel. Installed a new GE Adora to replace my GE Profile this is over 22 years old. The new Adora is incredibly quiet in operation, very pleased with the performance also. GE please send a new stainless double oven if you get a chance. Lol.
