Hello Eli! Thanks for your question. We found that a grinder is not included in the installation kit. You can find what is included in the kit on page 2 of the Use and Care manual online at this link: https://images.homedepot-static.com/catalog/pdfImages/cb/cba37d35-4adf-420c-b375-e19a599bc05f.pdf We hope this helps! The lower rack will handle very large plates, especially with the adjustable middle rack. We have a large plate set, and the unit held and cleaned those well.
You should only hook up the dishwasher to the hot water line to get your dishes the cleanest and for sanitation. Most dishwashers have an internal heating element to add additional heat for cleaning/sanitation but they are not going to get the water hot enough for optimal cleaning.
Hello Kira, Great question! We are glad you reached out to us. It would be our pleasure to help you with your dishwasher. We apologize for the issues you've been having, and we know how inconvenient this must be for you. When a dishwasher will not fill with water, we recommend checking the flood float. The flood float keeps the dishwasher from overfilling with water. If stuck, it will prevent water from entering the dishwasher. Remove the Ultra-Fine filter and lightly tap the piece under the ultra fine filter that looks like a salt shaker. Then replace the filter. We also suggest checking the water supply line for any kinks or clogs. For more troubleshooting tips use the link below. (Page 23- Troubleshooting) https://images.homedepot-static.com/catalog/pdfImages/11/11fb4f40-3ceb-470d-a784-a41fc250eb2e.pdf Let us know if we can help with any further questions or concerns. Have a great day! -Sylvia@GEA
Hi there Brie, Thank you for reaching out. We're happy to answer your questions. This dishwasher does not possess smart capabilities. It can not connect to WiFi or any apps. Hope this helps. Mike@GEA
Our unit did not come with an air gap. It did come with a two-section hose that connects the dishwasher to the air gap. So you need to get (or save) your air gap. You also need to get a clamp to connect the hose sections to each other and a second clamp to connect the hose to the air gap.
Hi jacicola - Thanks for reaching out to us and choosing this Adora series dishwasher for your home! We are very sorry to hear of the issues you are experiencing with starting a cycle and are happy to offer you some guidance in this. When the dishwasher is loaded, press the furthest pad on the left to select the desired wash cycle, and then press the Start pad. The cycle will not start until the Start pad is pushed and the door is closed within 4 seconds. - You can find guidance on starting the dishwasher within pages 7-10 of your Use and Care Manual. You can also find troubleshooting tips on page 22-24 of your manual. If your dishwasher has power, but is not starting as it should, please reach out to us via our Contact Us page online so that we can get more details on your situation and offer you additional troubleshooting support. Please include your name, address, phone number, current email address, and the model and serial numbers for your appliance. We hope that this helps! -Eliza@GEA
Hi Diana - Thank you for your patience! We are very sorry to hear that your dishwasher is not turning on and can imagine that this would be a very frustrating experience for you. We are happy to offer you some guidance in this. If the dishwasher has no power going to it (display not lighting and is non-responsive), there are a few things you can do to try and resolve the issue. Make sure the dishwasher door is closed tightly and is latched correctly. Make sure the Lock Feature, that prevents the dishwasher from accidentally being turned on, is turned to Off. Lastly, you will want to check your unit's power supply by resetting your home's fuse or circuit breaker for the dishwasher. - If this is a new installation and there is no power, you will want to have the installation checked by your installer, as the manufacturer's warranty does not cover installation issues. If the above suggestions do not resolve the issue, service may be needed to properly diagnose the unit. You can schedule an appointment with GE Factory Service by calling 1-800-432-2737 Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. ET, Saturday – Sunday: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET, or schedule online at any time. We hope that this helps! -Eliza@GEA

We have had the dishwasher for several weeks now and even on the high temperature drying option our dishes are wet. I just think the drying mechanism is not great for this machine. Wish I knew this prior to purchase.
