Q:Could anyone provide the interior dimensions of the freezer and also dimensions for the space covering the compressor?

A: Hello - Thanks for your interest in GE Appliances! The interior dimensions for this terrific 10.6 cu. ft. freezer is 43" wide by 18" deep by 25" height. None of our current upright and chest freezer models come with a rear cover plate over the compressor. Also, a cover plate is not available and cannot be added. We hope this helps! A: Hi - Thanks for the great question, we're happy to help! GE garage ready freezers are tested to perform from 0°F to 110°F. We don't recommend installing it where the temperature will exceed 110 degrees Fahrenheit. There is a possibility that operating the refrigerator in extremely high temperature could cause the oil to overheat and break down, thus damaging the compressor or sealed system. Q:Hi, I recently bought this freezer in March of 2021. The door no longer stays open on its own. We love the freezer but need a replacement on the hinges. How can we go about this?

A: Have you checked your bottom corner where the drain is for damage to the seam? I don't think you will get much help with HD or GE with the hinges.

A: Hi - This model is not a self-defrosting unit. You would periodically need to manually defrost the freezer. Perfect size for two people

The unit was delivered in perfect condition other than a very small dent on the fron corner of the lid. The dent in my opion occured during the manufacturing process prior to painting since the paint or the shipping container were not damaged at all. The dent does not affect its operation at all. We plugged the unit in and everything works perfectly. We are happy.
