The rinse aid dispenser is located next to the detergent dispenser on the inside of the dishwasher door. To add rinse aid, open the rinse aid cap, fill the dispenser, and securely close the can when finished. Very quiet

Let me start by saying, securing this dishwasher was a freaking nightmare. The brackets and screws they provided were not long enough. We replaced a 15 year old GE dishwasher. The size is virtually the same, so I don't know why this was such a problem. The instructions were pretty terrible, too. Running my first cycle, I used the heated dry mode and kept checking under the sink to make sure there were no leaks. By the end of the cycle, there was condensation everywhere under my sink. It was so warm in there. That is really concerning to me because of potential mold growth if that keeps happening. I should be able to use that cycle but I don't feel like i can. I'm also disappointed that the "sections" between the tines are smaller/skinnier than my old one, so things don't fit like they did in my old one. It is very quiet. I love that. If i could actually use a boosted dry mode,I would give it 4 stars. But I have to deal with wet dishes, so that is frustrating. Really really disappointed in GE as far as installation. Also, you can see the insulation at the bottom of the unit. The cover doesn't cover it all. Why would GE think this is okay?

Door insulation is a known problem

After only 1.5 years the insulation in the door is dropping in pieces when the door is opened. Research shows this to be a common problem and it does not impact operation but may impact the noise of operation. I expected more from a relatively high end appliance. I won’t be buying GE appliances in the future!

Front door leaking after 3 months

Had the brand new GE smart dishwasher professionally installed and 3 months later there is a ton of water coming out both of the front corners of the door. Seal has already been inspected, ensured unit is still level & still leaks. PDT755SYV1FS

Dishwasher manufacture assembly was not good.

The bottom cleaning arm is hitting the heater and melted both tips. Now the water is leaking out the door. The wait time for service call (Phone Wait) is too long. The wash is not that good but it could be from the tips being melted. The support is good once you get them on the phone.

Frustrated new user

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very frustrated trying unsuccessfully to connect this dishwasher to the app. And not happy with all the water left in the dishwasher after a small load, and the crystal glasses were still wet after the wash.

We'd like to provide information about the water in the tub after a cycle and assist with the SmartHQ app. Water settled in the bottom of the dishwasher at the end of the wash cycle is normal. This water helps to keep the pump seal lubricated. Leaks, defective, GE customer service poor

We have been dealing with both an authorized reseller/installer and GE directly. The lower spray arm keeps melting, resulting in the dishwasher spraying out the sides and leaking into the kitchen floor. Read Reddit forums and you will find tons of other folks sharing this problem. First service call, less than four months. Tech knew exactly the problem. Went straight to the spray arm and showed it melted. Said it was a known problem A month later, same problem the vent the heating element. Another month later, same problem. This time, GE called and came out. Took some notes and another spray arm. Next time, water damage was so bad it warped our flooring. Now we are working with GE insurance, who stopped replying to emails. Another call to GE and they miraculously have a new service bulletin stating the problem has been identified to the heating element. Waiting for GE to return to install new heating element. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DISHWASHER AND FROM GE! If GE wants to make this right, contact me and offer me a credit to my original reseller.

Nice but could do better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first couple of times used and a few issues came up. The first was there was some leaking by to door, the cause was a seal on the inside bottom can be moved around. The second issue caused the third. A wheel came off the bottom tray and fell on the heating element, which then caused the water sprayer under the bottom rack to hang up on and melt. I have no idea how the wheel came off but it should not have happened.

We'd like to assist with your dishwasher leaking, the rack roller, and the spray arm. While a new dishwasher may need to go through several complete cycles to properly seat the new door gasket, the position of the dishwasher can prevent the door from forming a tight seal, which can cause leaking. Meh - And you better submit a rating

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We really like the capacity of the three rack system and the idea of available water jets though we typically only use the 90 minute wash setting. Adding the use of any of the additional features adds a lot of time to the machine - it could run for four hours if not careful. That is ridiculous. This is a quiet appliance and we rarely know it is running. Several of the features are only accessible via the phone app. The paid installation was sloppy and damaging to the sides of the cabinetry. The center rack tends to slide back into the machine because it was not level when installed. The top control panel is cheaply made and will certainly not last very long. And, buyers need to be prepared to submit a rating lest you be bombarded with daily reminders to do so.

We are glad to assist with function of your dishwasher. It is normal for many dishwashers to run for up to two hours or more under certain conditions. This ensures a good wash performance but they use less energy while doing so. Steam during drying process

Steam comes out during the drying cycle. Call GE and GE contractor personal come out. Told the technician that it's the drying cycle that is causing the issue of steam building up underneath the countertop. Also showed him the top drawer is not shutting properly which could also be causing the issue. I'm going to see if we can return it back to store, but I'm afraid it's just pass the return date.
