What is the knob material on this item?
Asked by Med April 25, 2018Plastic painted to appear metal. The paint on mine began to chip off is just a few months and I see other people have the same problem. Third party companies offer after market knobs for this unit actually made of metal but the ones that come with the stove top not nearly durable enough for a serious home cook.
Does this come with the griddle?

Does this work on LP? Does it need converter? If so is converter included?
Asked by Baymom June 15, 2018Hi Baymom- Yes, the cooktop can be converted for use with LP. The LP Conversion Kit is included with the cooktop. GE Appliances recommends a qualified installer or servicer convert the gas cooktop to the proper gas supply needed. The conversion must be in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and all codes and requirements of the authority having jurisdiction. We're glad to have you in the GE Appliances Family!
