Can controls be locked to protect the current operation from being accidentally cancelled?

Hey Jkeith! Wonderful question! The Lock Controls feature on electric, gas, and dual fuel ranges locks out the control panel so that pressing the pads does not activate the electronic controls. This will not keep you from using the burners that use controlled by knobs. However, it will lock out burner controls if they are controlled by electronics (digital controls). - The Lock Controls feature can be set after a Bake or Broil function has been set. However, it will disable / turn off the Bake or Broil function at that time. We hope that this helps! Stay safe. -Michael@GEA

Does the probe display the temperature continuously so you know how cooked the food is or does it...

Based on our research, we're seeing that the oven display will show the desired internal temp that you've selected and the current internal temperature of the food that the probe is inserted into. This range is installed 2 inches from the wall. The rear trim is used to help reduce the appearance of this gap. Is this a downdraft model?

I’m in love!
I read a ton of reviews and this was the range that almost everyone loved, so I went with it. The air fry is great! Crispy, moist chicken! Everything tastes so much better cooked on this range. Even my husband commented. It has a solid feel and is easy to clean. I couldn’t ask for more.

Its a professional looking setup
This range is very sleek looking in the fingerprint less black steel. It has all the 21st technology we need. starting the oven, from our smart phones, really is a nice touch. Most importantly, the oven cooks evenly!

A Lemon?
This is a lemon. The LED panel is faulty, the insulation in the back is tattered and one of the small rubber bumpers on the range is distorted making the range unbalanced.

Wonderful upgrade!
I upgraded my 15-yr old 4-burner GE profile free-standing range to this 5-burner slide-in model. I love how there is no vent in the oven door so the burner knobs don't get hot when the oven is on! However, be mindful of pots on the rear right burner when you are using the oven - they will get hot. The other thing that is different is because there is a convection fan, the fan runs intermittently even when on conventional bake, and will also run after you shut the oven off to help with cooling it down. Before installation, you may want to check the location of your gas valve on the wall behind the range. Our gas pipe/valve stuck out of the wall by about 3 inches in the center back of the range. Our old range (not a convection oven) had a recessed area in that location on the back of the range, so it wasn't a problem, but this new one (with the convection fan) didn't have a recessed area in the center of the back of the stove, but rather it was on the right hand side, so we had to have our plumber move the gas valve to the right by about 6 inches so that the range would slide all the way back to the wall (without the valve moved, there was a 3-inch gap between the range and the wall, where items could fall). The other thing to do is to buy an oven thermometer to test the oven temperature compared with the set temperature. We found that we had to calibrate our new oven up by 9 degrees in order for the temperature on the screen to match the actual temperature in the oven. There are instructions in the online manual for how to do this, but it would be easy to think that the oven isn't working properly if this step isn't taken! Love using the griddle that comes with this range on the center burner! You can make pancakes, grill steaks, etc, and it's cast iron so the cooking is very even. Love this new range!

Failed within 2 weeks of installation
Failed within 2 weeks of professional installation, 2nd time using the oven to bake and 8 minutes into it starting turning on and off by itself, all the screen would turn off then on, then off then on and so on (while turning off the oven fan was turning off, so it was not only the screen), we clicked the off button but didn’t work; had to disconnect it. Added picture when the screen was turning all on. Also the operation of the oven’s vent is very loud.

Easy to clean and great features!
I looked and looked and reviewed Consumer Reports before purchasing this stove and I’m glad I did. It slid in perfectly to the space in where my old range was. The cook top is easy to keep clean and I have already used the air fry feature. GE is known for their gas ranges. I don’t think you can go wrong with this model.

Good looking and great features
I spent months researching ovens for quality, appearance, features and prices. I feel that this oven will bring me years over pleasure. It’s such a beautiful oven with a lot of features. I can even tell when someone is baking because the WiFi feature lets me know that the temperature is set. I had fun in the beginning texting family members from afar asking what’s in the oven. They forgot about the WiFi feature.
