The THQP breakers can only be installed in the area that accepts the 1/2” frame “tandem” breaker. In some load centers, it could be every space. In the case of your panel, that would be in the lower 1/3 of the panel. Thank you for your question.
I don't understand your question...What box are you referring to?
Your panel needs to support 1/2" breakers for the THQP220, not all panels support these, but most have at least eight 1/2" locations, usually at the bottom of the panel. Take a look at the GE PowerMark Gold 200 Amp 32-Space 40-Circuit Main Breaker Indoor Load Center. Think of two adjacent full breaker locations that support four 1/2" breakers, the THQP220 breaker will use the two center locations and pick power form each power leg. The two outer 1/2" locations will be open and be available for two single 1/2" breakers. Take a look at the third customer image, see how the breaker fits into positions 28 and 30, positions 26 and 32 must then use a 1/2" breaker. The THQL2120 breaker will need two adjacent full breaker locations, which can actually be four of the adjacent 1/2" breaker locations.
Based on the math 1500 W / 120 V the amperage required would be 12 1/2 amps per unit. Please check with your local electrician for more details.
You can check with your local electrician who is familiar with your local code but I would recommend purchasing 2 - THQP120 breakers and putting them side by side allowing for individual operation.
