Will this remote turn on and off two devices at the same time? IE: a comcast cable box and a JVC HDtv

my current comcast remote will turn both devices on, but only turns off the cable box, and leaves the tv running.

Universal Remote with LED Backlight is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worked ok for awhile 7 months old and only reliable on the first try about 50% of the time. The unit locks up and the back lit function sticks. This incapacitates the entire remote. Have to turn off and back on and this is a pain.

It connected with both my television and DirecTV receiver with no hassle. The primary reason for the purchase was to have a remote that featured lighted keys for the bedroom TV. The only down-side is the fact that you have to press the TV button to control volume on the TV, and then press the CBL button to change channels on the DirecTV receiver (toggle the remote functions between devices). While I understand, and accept this behavior, I only comment because this adds a layer of complexity that prevents my wife from using the remote.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from really like This is any easy to program remote. It works everything we have connected to our tv, Blu-ray, VCR,& even our DISH DVR. Some of the DVR function don't work, but all of the TV, VCR & Blu-Ray do. Love that it lights up.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Frustrating. The lighted keys are a good feature, and it was not too hard to program. The "volume punch-through" feature is great when you route the audio through your audio receiver. I have a 2 year-old Panasonic TV and the problem I have is that it seems that the remote frequently sends multiple commands or no command when I push a button. For example, when I push 3, I may not see a response from the TV, or I might see 33 on the screen. The TV only shows me the last 2 digits it received, so it might have seen 3333 but I can't tell. If I was trying to get channel 33, and I see 33 on the screen, the TV might be searching for channel 33333. If I was trying for channel 39, and the TV sees 33 when I press 3, and I don't look up at the TV to make sure there is only one 3 on the screen before I press the 9, the TV may see 339, but it shows me only the last 2 digits, so I see 39, but the TV is searching for 339. It's not just the 3 button, it's all the buttons. Many times when I push the "last" (go back to the previous channel) button, nothing may happen, or it may switch 2 times which causes a 3 second black screen, then I see the same channel that it was on, as if the TV is seeing two separate "last" button commands when I push the button once. These problems were present when the remote was new and they persist. And, my hands are as steady as you would want your surgeon's to be.
