GE produce this new concept of Z-wave on this wall control switch with multi function. Movement detection for light turn on and off plus its has dimmer function too. Size about the same size as most on off switch. Base on the outlook is quite update stylish. Additional On-Off button with cream color pack together once you want to switch to other color. Basically, the switch comes gentle white color. Which is most preferable for people who like the white. But if you are not interest in wireless control feature, then this may not your right choice as the price is not cheap. On quality, it looks a well made. Personally, I mainly like the motion sensor function and dimmer for light control. Motion sensor, that good at night time when all the house light turn off, this time this sensor switch will give you a safety light turn on. Also save your energy as it will turn off according to your setting. Especially, when you sleep deeply halfway and wake up for washroom or get a cup of water. Then you will feel why you need some kind of switch install.

Unit works well as an occupancy-sensing switch, featuring the 3 modes standard to most occupancy switches. Detection range is up to 45' directly out from the unit, at the apex of the sensor arc. There are 5 delay-off time settings - as short as 5 seconds after last motion detection, to up to as long as 30 minutes. It has an integral photocell, and can be set to allow motion-controlled lighting to only come on when the room is dark enough. It also has 3 different motion sensitivity settings. Settings can be adjusted both at the device and through the app. Linked to your Z-Wave hub, the app adds features like scene-triggering and notification of motion detection, as well as the obvious control of the switched lighting from anywhere. Note - this switch does require a neutral to operate. The switch appears to be very well-built, as you would expect from a GE-branded product. Comes assembled as a white device, but can be changed to light almond via removable face panels. Unit does not come with the required decorator-shape wall plate (same as a GFI receptacle). Unit is made in China.

The product works well claims motion detection 180 degrees 8 feet at 0 and 180 degree angle and 45 feet thru the 90 arch. I’m getting not as well detection but works close. This is a ZWave plus product that needs a gateway. My application is with a Wink gen 1 Controller. With the gateway you have many options for scenes, programs etc. this can also be set up for just detecting motion when it’s dark . Install is straightforward but be advised you will need a neutral wire connection, it will work with three way and four way switching but addition remote switches will be needed. The back is bulky so your switch box needs to be tidy to get this in when hooked up. Cover plates are not included. This product is a must if your automating your home .

I have a Wink 2, which is not z-wave plus, but it is z-wave and this switch works fine with my Wink. I’ve been using it for a few days now and it consistently detects when someone walks into the room. I set up app notification and email notification to test that functionality because another reviewer stated that it didn’t work. That’s not correct. They work fine. Also, that’s functionality with the controller, not the switch. This switch is on par with the others that I have installed throughout my home as far as build quality and functionality. It does require a neutral wire so you need to open up your existing switch wiring to see what you have available first. I have this hooked up to an LED panel. Now I’m painfully aware of the myriad incompatibilities of dimmers/switches and LEDs. When this switch turns on the LED panel the panel hums, flickers and then jumps to life. Same when turning it off. It’s not clean. I have no desire to troubleshoot this or point a finger at either device. As promising as LED technology is, for now I’d rather get the benfits from the home controller and dimmers than with the LED bulbs and working with incandescent is far and away easier and trouble free. I highly suggest that you research compatible bulbs and pair this switch with something known to work properly.

I was disappointed that the Wink 2 couldn't read the motion sensor directly. Maybe it needs more support witch could come any day. The swich cam in fine.

After looking at all the other reviews on the Apple website for this app, it seems I am not the only person having this problem. So far, no resolution to this problem (not working with the "smart" features it's supposed to). On the bright side, it does work as a normal motion sensor light... turns the light on when you walk in and off after you've left. But if that's all one wanted, you'd not need to purchase a "smart home" item to accomplish that. I will try purchasing the Z Wave Remote to see if that helps it become compatible.

I already have the standard z-wave switches, outlets and the fan controller. This allows the addition of some motion detection. It has a couple different modes which is nice as well. You can set the light to be automatic on/off. Then you have the vacancy mode which allows you to manually turn it on, but it will auto shut off after not sensing any motion for the set time. Then you have just the manual on and off. You can set the auto off option from 5sec to 1/5/15/30 mins. There is also a light sensing mode that can be turned on so that it will automatically turn on when there is no light. Then to dial in the sensitivity of the motion that it picks up, there is low, medium and high. The GE/Jasco products in my opinion have been very reliable as I have continued to build on my smart home. This is nice for use in the garage to automatically keep the lights on while we are moving around in there. I could also see using this in the bathroom to automatically turn off when not in use. I would love to use it in the kitchen, but in my application I would have to move the switch from the other side of the wall. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for a smart switch with auto on/off by motion. Of course, you can still control the lights from your smart phone using your desired z-wave enabled controller app. (wink, smart things, etc) ** Good for those comfortable with basic wiring. It does require a neutral wire. Always remember to turn off the breaker. **

I am continuing to add to my z-wave enabled home and this is my first in wall switch with built in occupancy sensor. This works great in my daughters room who never ever ever turns off her lights. I can set it to come on and stay on when she is in the room and turn off when she is not. An added bonus is being able to tell if she is up to no good at night when she is supposed to be sleeping by checking in on the status of the light switch. Works great.
