A: This broke after 10 min of use. The inner gear on the socket wrench is plastic and popped out releasing the smaller gears inside. Popped em back in and it continued to pop out regularly. I purchased this because of its size to utilize in small places with not a lot of room. That is not where you want your tool to fall apart into tiny pieces. Better off buying a Wera or a Felo set online. And yes those will contains a 5 mm Allen tip.

A: Hey Joe, You would have to use an adapter to go from 1/4 square to 3/8 square but with that it would work. That adapter is not included in the set. Thanks!

A: Metric 8mm - 14mm (5 sockets) SAE 5/16 - 9/16 (5 sockets) However, since they are all standard 1/4" drive sockets, you could buy any other size, deep drive, or replacements and use them. Only restriction would be rated torque of the small driver. Same with the bit drivers, they are non-propriety 1/4" drive size, so if you need longer or specialty sizes you can easily add them (I've added metric hex (Allen) drive, Pozi-drive, and Robertson (square) drive #0.

1/4 inch end completely fell apart after only 3 months...

1/4 inch end completely fell apart after only 3 months of light use. The gear popped out of the housing while I was screwing in some small screws with the Phillips head bit set provided. The amount of force I was applying was not excessive.

Junk

Just opened sealed box. 1/4" side is missing the thumb wheel! Don't know if the thumb wheel is integral to holding the drive together, but the 1/4" side just slips right out of the wrench. Like I said, this was a sealed package, so Gearwrench must have a horribly inept QA department. Like others, I have the Husky version that I use almost daily for years now. Since Husky discontinued them, I jumped on the Gearwrench model for a backup. Returning this junk asap!

Well made set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this set. I was needing to find a ratchet that would fit in tight spaces. The ratchet holds both 5/16" and 1/4" bits without needing an adaptor. I wasn't expecting much from the bits included in the set but have been very impressed. They hold the heads better than any bits I have. The ratchet is smooth and hasn't jammed or slipped on me at all and the fit and finish feels great in your hands. Overall, I would definitely recommend this set. I have a much more expensive set but and I have not been near as happy with it than I have with the Gearwrench set.
