Ratcheting feature comes in very handy
Had these for over 15 years, While I don't use them often, no matter when I need them, they work great. In tight spaces the wrenches come in handy. Never had a failure with these, no complaints. They are pricey, sometimes it's best to buy quality and be done with it.

Tools don’t seem like they will last
Purchased this set at my local Home Depot about a month ago haven’t had a chance to use them had them sitting in my tool box i inspected them when I transferred them in there and yesterday I went to go use a couple and the finish on one the wrenches had started to peel after no use and the ratcheting part of the tool is inconsistent some are smooth and quiet some are rough and loud

Exceptional Quality
This is well worth the cost. These are very well made of very high quality material and the movement of the gears are smooth and holds very well. Their is no point in purchasing inferior product only to replace them in a couple of years, just buy good quality that with proper care will likely last a lifetime.

good value wrenches
This set is a nice addition for the DIYer or shade-tree mechanic. It includes the most common sizes for SAE or Metric fasteners and fittings. The product is packaged on a plastic storage tray that will fit in many mechanics rolling tool box drawers. It also has slots to hang on peg board or nails. By having the 90 teeth in the ratcheting box end, you can loosen fasteners in tight spaces with little clearance. The box ends have rounded vertices to allow the surface to contact the flats of nuts and bolts for more torque and less chance of rounding.
The base metal has some pits that are few are far between. The chrome plating is very smooth and uniform. I do question why the manufacturer decided to provide a contrast color on the 90T identifier but did not provide any contrast color for the wrench size. This is peculiar in my opinion, but something I can fix with grease pencil or paint. Something I would like more is if the handles had more of a radius. I suppose that will keep me from over torquing. I did find that 2 of the 18 pieces had uneven grinding on the open end.

Very efficient and effective. Its a nice looking tool set!
This 18 piece gear wrench set it a great set of tools. The polished chrome finish feels solid and cleans easily. The markings are engraved which is nice. I always prefer engraved tools over laser etched since when it gets grimy it’s easier to read. The ratcheting end has 90 teeth which is great for working in tight spaces. There are 360 degrees in a circle so divide that by 90 teeth and you only need to be able to move the ratchet 4 degrees to make a bolt turn. I was able to install a part on my motorcycle easily with the ratcheting end, this saved me a lot of time since there was not enough clearance for a traditional ratchet/socket. Another advantage is the ratcheting end is a through hole so it can’t bottom out on the bolt like a socket can. The case holds the wrenches in horizontally so it fits nicely in a toolbox drawer. I thought about hanging the set vertically on a wall but the angle was too steep to hold the wrenches well. Overall I am very pleased with this set!

Smooth Action. Precise fit.
Nice performing ratcheting wrenches. Fit on fasteners is excellent. Smooth slender handle, slightly on the thick side, ends. Sizes clearly stamped on both ends & sides. Smooth fine ratcheting action. Overall nice performing effective wrenches that definitely save time. As a DIY’er I haven’t invested in ratcheting wrenches but quickly realized this GearWrenches sets value, especially in blind situations. Once wrench is on, minimal effort is required to quickly tighten or loosen nuts and bolts. GearWrenches Pro Combo Set takes up less space than typical wrenches and sockets so quickly proved worthwhile in addition in field repair tool bag over a few weeks of lawn mower and farm tractor repair & maintenance. Wrenches performed very well. Good length for leverage and overall effectiveness. Best features- clearly stamped size, comfort in hand, fine ratchet action, and Manufacturer's Limited Lifetime. Satisfied and recommend.

Original GearWrench Set in SAE & MM!
This is a great addition to any toolbox. I love the GearWrench Brand and using these tools. This set comes with the tray to either hang on pegboard or put into a toolbox tray. Having both SAE & MM wrenches in one place will make your search for the correct fitting wrench so much easier. GearWrench ratcheting wrenches allow you to get into those close quarters situations and still tighten or loosen the nut or bolt with small movements. Its a standard 12pt combination, but the 90 teeth inside the head make all the difference. Great finish and shine. On this set, only the 90 is highlighted in yellow. GearWrench is moving to highlight the sizes on their latest models. I think that will help. I might paint mine. But still these are great tools!

Once you use a ratcheting box wrench you will never want to be without
The GEARWRENCH set includes 9 SAE and 9 Metric wrenches with open end on one side and ratcheting box on the other. They have a high polish chrome surface for easy cleaning. The box end is designed for off-corner contact to prevent rounding. There is no direction switch on the ratchet mechanism so you flip the wrench 180 degrees to change direction. The ratchet mechanism is a 90 tooth design which results in 4-5 degrees of arc to move between teeth. The open end of the wrench and the body are thinner than the box end allowing one to get into tighter spaces when needed. The wrenches come in a plastic display case with plastic bars to keep the wrenches from falling out. The case might be too big for most tool chest drawers.
For my primary test I used the wrenches on bumper and cylinder head bolts of a 1926 Ford Model T. They fit well on the nuts and allowed loosening and tightening without damage to the nuts.

Really good tool set!
I have several other Gearwrench tools and have really been impressed with them. This ratcheting wrench set is no exception. These tools are solid and well built. They feel good in your hands. They only require a 4 degree rotation to engage the ratchet head, so they work well in tight spaces.
This set comes with a tray to keep the wrenches organized. The tray measures 12 5/8" x 20 3/8" x 2 1/2" tall. That height will not allow me to store it in my tool chest, as my deeper drawers are already filled with other tools. The only drawer space I have available is not deep enough to fit the tray.
One thing I would suggest for the Gearwrench folks is that there was no need to paint the "90T" yellow and not the size on each wrench. It would be much more helpful when reaching for a tool to be able to clearly see the size highlighted!
These tools are made in China. I have been trying to stay away from that, but it is not always easy. The lifetime warranty helps ease any concerns.
All in all, a nice tool set.
