Arrow Arum or Peltandra virginica, is an attractive native aquatic plant that is great for ponds. The dark green glossy arrowhead shaped leaves make for a beautiful background edge plant or specimen plant in a pond. Very reliable bloomer, although it is grown more for its foliage.

Yes, it will not make it during freezing times!
Hi Angel! That is a great question. If you are in northern areas where extreme cold temperatures are likely, you may want to bring this plant inside for a few months and keep in a tub of water. It can take some pretty cold temperatures and most folks will only need to drop the plant, pot and all, to the bottom of your pond where it will be most insulated from possible freezing. It is a very hardy plant.
My plants are in a mesh basket and the basket is completely submerged underwater.
Good thank you for your concern
Hi Smiley! This 4 inch potted plant is usually 6 to 10 inches tall when you get it. I would start it within an inch, or so of your pond's surface and as it matures and gets taller it can be lowered accordingly. This plant is known for having very deep roots and given the freedom to grow, will mature to height of up to 2-3 feet depending on conditions. It does not have to be above the water line and will be quite comfortable on a shelf in your pond.
They are plants between four and 6 inches tall. They come potted and mini pots and need to be replanted into mesh baskets.
As plants.
Mine were plants, but very small.
This is sold as an already growing plant.
