Yes, you'll need to check when you order whether or not this unit comes with the WIFI kit or if you need to purchase separately.
This bundle does not include the line set. It is the indoor and outdoor unit only. This allows you to select the line set length you need.
There is enough refrigerant in the outdoor unit for up to 25 ft. of refrigerant lines. If you require a longer line set refrigerant will need to be added, if the line set is shorter that's fine, no refrigerant need be taken out. It is imperative that you use a licensed HVAC technician to install the refrigerant lines and wire it. They have the proper tools to evacuate the line set prior to final startup and release of the refrigerant. Evacuation [vacuuming] of the line set requires specialized tools and assures there is no moisture in the system. Even a small amount of moisture can wreak havoc on air conditioning equipment.
Yes there is a timer function on the remote that lets you do this.
Smells from air conditioning equipment are most likely sourced from improper installation, maintenance issues or external issues. If the unit is not installed on the level, condensate water may be left standing creating unpleasant odors. Make certain your air filters are cleaned on a regular basis and, in the cooling mode, the condensate pan in the unit is draining properly. Check the drain lines to make certain they're not restricted. Have your installer check to make sure the hole in the wall for the refrigerant lines and condensate line were filled properly . Many times these are not filled at all or have material that absorbs water and creates musty smells [this could also happen in the heating mode too]. If unfilled, the gaps could be drawing in outside sources of unpleasant odors.
This unit should be hardwire to a dedicated 15A breaker with a disconnect near the outdoor compressor. The 14/4 gauge communication cable that you will need to run from the outdoor unit to the indoor with the lineset will carry the power needed for the indoor unit.
More than likely it will fit, and will cool and heat more than 300 sq. ft. After a problem with the interior small unit that I had to pay for labor, it has been working very well.
The outdoor unit dimensions are provided in the "Specification" sheet and also the "Instructions / Assembly" manual provided on the Home Depot Website. 33.4W x 21.3H x 12.6D
