How thick is this escutcheon and what is the diameter of the hole?

AnswersThe escutcheon is about 1/8 inches thick. It is now installed, so I cannot measure the hole, but it fits the Grohe faucet perfectly.

AnswersIs this an existing faucet or a new one? If existing, you need to remove it, place this on the sink, then reinstall the faucet. If a new faucet, just place this over the holes before you install the new faucet.

AnswerThis will fit with other manufactures faucets. We have not tested it with theirs. If the center hole is the same size as their drill hole and the base of the faucet will cover the hole the you should be fine.

I am installing a Grohe Ladylux faucet in a drop mount sink and needed a cover plate. The cover plate arrived quickly and extremely well packed. The stainless steel matches my glacier bay sink - always a little concern when you have different manufacturers. A little pricey for a Grohe accessory after spending hundreds of dollars on the faucet - so I knocked a star off.

It’s described as stainless, but it’s really a brushed nickel type finish. I had to use it, but looks totally different from the stainless faucet. Disappointing.

Ed the Escutcheon plate is finished in a brushed stainless steel that matches our kitchen faucets. The stainless is going to have more of a silver undertone where the brushed nickel is going to have more brassy undertones.

The escutcheon plate is made to be bent slightly at the center so that when the faucet is tightened down to the counter top it does not bow the metal. We got a Grohe faucet but our sink had 2 extra holes. Tried to get by with a cheaper alternative ...
We got a Grohe faucet but our sink had 2 extra holes. Tried to get by with a cheaper alternative that matched the stainless finish of the faucet but only had a rubber gasket and the faucet itself to hold it in place, it came loose after a week. This one has a nylon plate that the escutcheon sits on as well as nylon screws for the open sink holes to hold the gasket in place, so it doesn't depend on the faucet to hold the escutcheon. Also pivots better because it's designed for a Grohe faucet, the cheapo alternative was a little more resistant to allowing the faucet to pivot.
