My rough-in box is too deep for the Atrio trim (19 849) - the instructions say to use the 47 822 extension kit but this has been discontinued according to your website - what part has replaced it? Seems like 47 889 or 47 890 but no information exists! Update your website please!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I bought this item for the gut rehab of my Bathroom. The first Internal Controller when installed... I bought this item for the gut rehab of my Bathroom. The first Internal Controller when installed into the Grohe Universal Rough-In leaked. I had to get a 2nd one. The thermostatic (hot/cold) controller handle is in front, the diverter/volume control is the handle in the back, which is the opposite to what it should be. When you adjust the volume control the thermostatic control creeps and doesn't lock in until in the middle position, so setting the ideal temperature becomes an annoying chore. The Unit is overly complex and is made of mostly cheap plastic parts that I can't imagining lasting 15-20 years of the older more simpler brass units. Once you have the Grohflex Universal Rough-In installed though, your are pretty much married to this Unit and Grohe unless you want to do major demolition to remove the old one. I recommend getting the traditional Hot/Cold Controller with a single diverter and simple rough-in.
