Versatile paintable slat wall
These were very paintable, a little rough in the channels but two coats did the trick. That arrived in good shape even though they are heavy. Easy to wall Mount into the studs.

MDF Slatwall is not durable without inserts
I purchased this slatwall hoping it would bolt to the wall & be durable. It is NOT DURABLE without inserts. The pricing jumped $22 after 2 days of purchase and is not worth the increased price point. Home Depot will not price match the original price.

I would give this 5 stars, but its very difficult to get the panels to line up end-to-end because...
I would give this 5 stars, but its very difficult to get the panels to line up end-to-end because the t-slots cut into the front allow the panel to warp and bow out from your mounting surface. I got it very close, but it was a struggle. At least picking them up from the store meant no shipping damage.

the box contained 2 pieces of slatwall, enough to cover 2'x4'. It was packaged decently but not enough to withstand shipping. It took two coats of latex paint to create a finish that looked good. They appear to be made of particle board so we'll see how they hold up. Overall a good buy compared to others on the market.

I used a pair of panels to trick out a gear closet, helping transform what had been a jumbled pile of backpacks and other gear into an easily organized and accessible wall of equipment. I had to cut a couple inches off the length of each panel to fit my space, and the panels cut beautifully with no tear-out on my table saw. I bought the paintable version so I could match the inside of a closet wall, and it painted up nicely.
