Give your tomatoes and other vining plants the support they need to grow with the Gardener's Blue Ribbon 54 in. galvanized tomato cage. Plants that grow inside a cage utilize the sides of the cage to support the stems and need fewer ties. Just place one plant inside the cage and guide the stems through as they grow. This tomato cage is strong enough to help keep even the largest tomato plants contained and under control without blocking sunlight or rain. This tomato cage keeps plants growing tall and off the ground for better air circulation while the large openings give easy access for harvesting. Its galvanized finish prevents rust which makes it reusable season after season. This cage can be used in a garden bed, raised garden, or for container gardening. These cages are easy to take out at the end of the season and are stackable within each other for easy storage.
4 long stakes keep the cage anchored securely
Legs: 7-Gauge wire, rings: 8-Gauge wire
16.140 in. top ring diameter (inside dimension)
Supports plants/vines up to 10 lbs. in weight
Stakes into your yard or garden with the press of a foot
Can be used for multiple projects as seen on Pinterest
Q:Does this contain lead? It seems many tomato cages do.

Answer This Question
A:Â Due to the galvanization process, the cage does contain trace amounts of lead. Thus we are required to mark the item with the California Prop 65 warnings.

Excellent quality for the price!! Very sturdy - and really tall, although it looks like that won't be an issue based on how tiny my tomato plant is. But if it ever decides to 'take off', this cage will easily handle it. No problem/breakage when putting it into the soil - which will happen if the 'welds' are not good. I believe this cage and the other 3 that I bought for more tomatoes and cucumbers will last several years, maybe longer. Really liked that it was offered in green, as well as other colors, to match your decor. :-)

Good support for tomato plants
Bought these to prepare for my tomato plants this year, good gauge and these appear to be sturdy compared to others with 4 circular rings. I was able to bend the metal to fit my pot better, I should have gotten a smaller one (height wise) but this will still be good and I'm sure it'll last for years on my porch.
Side note: those are my 2 tomato plants from last year, not sure how they survived. Ha!

These are the best constructed 54" plant supports I've found in my area. In my garden I've found them great for pepper plants but a bit short for tomatoes with out providing additional support. They're great when using them for patio size tomatoes in pots. The 4 horizontal hoop design allows for plant support from young planting size through mature height. I've been using these cages for a few years and purchased additional ones this year to support a few extra plants in my expanding garden.

Purchased out of necessity and cost for our non-profit food bank garden, the cage falls apart rather fast. The hoops detach from the vertical frame the first time you set them in the ground. The coated materials work much better.
