Works much better than the round tomato cage. You can adjust the short bars to the needed height. I added them after the tomato plants got too large for my round metal cages. I had to improvise the shape. I also had to use two cross bars to hold up the huge tomatoes.

This did a GREAT job of containing my overgrown tomatoes. I had forgotten to cage them early in the season, and they had grown very bushy/full. This system was easy to install and the design is flexible. It is a lifesaver for any plants that are out of control in your garden. If you buy multiple of these, you can create the geometric you want. If you buy 2 packs, use 4 poles and make a square instead of a triangle. I like this cage better than my circular steel ones, because of the flexibility of shape and adjustability of the support clips. Also, I don’t have to install this cage as soon as I plant my tomatoes. When installing, note that the support clips should be installed on the INTERIOR, so that they won’t fall out if the plant pushes against it. I like how the support clips are adjustable and can be moved as the plant gets taller. Also, you can easily remove a support clip and tuck a wayward branch back inside if it sticks out.

CONTAINS LEAD
These seemed like a great idea until I got them home and read the label. Contains lead and says to wash hands after use. Seriously? If it comes off on my hands, what is it doing in the soil in my garden? All the plastic stakes (Vigoro sturdy stakes) also have this lead warning.

My tomatoes are crazy this year, it is only May and they are well above any cages. I bought this to hopefully support my large plants and it has! All straight and tucked in, they have the support they need, and are still growing. It is nice to be able to adjust the sizes without breaking the plant. Great item.

I bought a couple of these to use with my potted tomato plants this year. I think they are the best thing since sliced bread! Easy to use, set up in two minutes. Place one of the 9 arms included any place you like and then move it later as the plant grows. Appears sturdy enough to last many seasons. Green color blends well with vegetation. Well worth the price, will be buying more! Stood my tomato plant upright so the sun can reach where it needs.

Easy and obvious to assemble. I would like it if there had been a choice of horizontal arm lengths. It was too wide for some things and too narrow for others. Overall though, it fit my needs.

Great plant staking system

They work great to support all sorts of plants. To support cherry or grape tomatoes, I will give them a solid 5 star. I have not found anything better. They are completely adjustable, so if you are late in staking the plants, that is not a problem since you can add the arms at any time. Also, if there are any wayward stems, you just open the arm and squeeze them in. If you are growing big beefsteak tomatoes, then I have to lower the rating to 4 stars. They are still great in that they are adjustable to keep up with the growing plant, but I find if I have heavy tomatoes, the stakes are not able to hold them and tend to bend. In that case, I pound in a wooden stake and the arms are sturdy and strong enough to hold the weight of the tomatoes. They are somewhat expensive, but I look at them as an investment. I still use the ones that I bought more than five years ago. Another benefit is that they are easy to take apart and to store for next season. They are especially great for plants that are naturally vertical such as dahlias or peonies. There, I find that I need 4 stakes and 16 or more cross arms. For those plants I rate them a solid 5 star. I like to add one caveat. Be sure to buy them early in the season since there is a good possibility your local Home Depot will be out of stock when you most need them.

Perfect for City Pickers Raised Garden Bed

Needed something flexible/adjustable for my City Pickers gravity fed garden. The Ultomato Cage was just the trick. Ensure you install the support clips on the inside of the uprights and you will be able to easily adjust by popping the edge with your thumb. The construction is lightweight but sturdy enough to get the job done and the nice green color disappears in the garden. Also, the 5' height is much better than your average cage.
