A: It is a low pile plush and loop. The yarn isn't as soft as a nylon but the rubber backing gives it some cushion.

A: No, its not very dark, the photo shown is very misleading. I'm not happy with the color. I would have preferred it to be a very dark blue. I suggest buying black if you're looking for darker.

A: I believe you can return it to the store. My walls are indigo, ironically called Anchors Away paint. The rug works great.

This rug surprised me because it is rubber backed and not jute back like I thought it would be. It came in a box and not a roll like other rugs I have purchased. I was disappointed by this but we did keep it and are using it and it is working for us now, but I don't believe it will have a long live at our home like our past jute backed rugs.
