The Geeni WiFi wall plug 2 pack is a good value. I like the capability of controlling both plugs on each duplex plug separately. The app to connect to your WiFi is straightforward and easy to use. The size of the plugs will fit in most applications without difficulty, but obviously take significantly more room than a standard duplex plug so be aware of that for your application. It works with both Android and Apple iOS and easily connects to Google Home. I do not have Alexa, but expect a similar ease of connection with it as well.

I have Geeni products throughout my whole house and they are exactly what you are looking for with wireless equipment. First of all, they are easy to install just as you would with a standard wall outlet. Second, they are easy to connect to the internet. It rarely takes more than one try to run through the app set up process to get the outlet connected to my wifi. Third, they look great and blend into the house. I also love the Alexa integration. I have it set up now where I ask Alexa to turn on my lights and the whole house lights up. Even better when heading to bed and with a simple command, all the lights turn off. Its nice to be able to control the two switches independently as well.

So, I was pleased to find this smart outlet easy to install and easy to connect to my router. The two 120 volt outlets are individually controlled by the same Geeni screen on my smartphone. The outlet fits into the same box as a standard duplex outlet. The fit is snug. So, don't use any more wire than is necessary. The distance this device is from the router can make a difference in performance.

They are extremely easy to set up on the Geeni app. They can also be used via Alexa for voice control. The outlets are ETL certified. Another nice feature is the ability to invite people to share access to your device, so several people can control the unit. Unit is rated for 120 volts, a maximum of 15 Amp load. To install, replace your existing outlet with this one – terminals have easy to use slide in connectors that handle two sets of 14/2 wires. Black, white, and green wires required for installation. Each plug comes with a white decorative face plate and screws. A very easy to use and economical way to gain control of any device through the switchable outlet. Besides working as a standard 125VAC, 15 amp power outlet, you get the additional benefit of setting schedules and manually powering devices on/off via the app, or controlling devices with voice commands once linked to an assistant such as Alexa. You have the ability to control 2 devices with each outlet. For example, in everyday use I might have two lamps plugged in that I could control via Alexa. When I go on vacation I would replace a lamp with a radio. Then I could set a schedule to have a lamp and radio switch on and off at random times throughout the day and night to give the impression that somebody is home. Physical installation is no different that a standard receptacle. After it's in place, CURRENT has a one time setup in the Geeni app and then, if you're using a voice controller such as Alexa, a one time setup in that app. Once that is done, the hardest part is over. The only negative I've seen is that it only works over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. This is falling behind the competition as dual-band devices are preferable to people that have a lot of Wi-Fi connected devices.

I installed these receptacles in my workshop because i wanted to be able to remotely control certain items in my workshop such lighting on one of the receptacles and battery charger banks on the other. They were very easy to install and fit very nicely in the new construction gang box. The blue WIFI light is nice. I struggled a little to like them to the WIFI but after a few minutes got them to work. Recommend them to anyone who want to remote control plugged in appliances.

I've been using Geeni products for a while now and I'm impressed how this company has been maturing by delivering products that connect easily and can be programmed to be truly useful. These smart plugs are no exception. They connected flawlessly to my home network that has both 2.4 and 5 GHz speeds - these products will connect only to 2.4 GHz. I installed them to the two bed lamps in our master bedroom and gave them unique names so that I could control them separately. For automation, I could set these lamps to turn on per a schedule or using a timer but just calling out to Alexa to turn the lights on or off is good enough. The side button does allow you to operate the plug without the internet.

Geeni WiFi 2 Wall Plug, 2 Pack No Hub Smart Outlet Compatible with Alexa. The receptacle has two screws for power connection, and they are not designated for wire size but looks like #14 would be the largest to insert into the clamping connection. Each connection will accept two wires and the ground is a screw connection only. The hot and neutral are clearly marked. The Geeni app must be loaded on to a smart phone to setup the receptacles. I was confused at first because I have only delt with a single receptacle before. This receptacle will control each socket individually so after setup you will see switch 1 and switch 2. The button on the front turns both sockets on and off so the only way to control them individually is through the app or a control device like Alexa. Setting up Alexa was another challenge because the Geeni skill must be loaded and activated first. Alexa shows 3 switches for each receptacle, 1 controls both sockets and the other two control the sockets individually. Each of the three actions can be given a unique name for voice control. When power is lost to the unit it will return to the previous state when power is restored. Using the Alexa voice commands turned the sockets on and off but did not change the display state in the Alexa app which could be confusing if turning the device on and off in the Alexa app. A wall plate and mounting screws are included in the box with two devices. The receptacle is rated 15 amps max. The device Wifi is not compatible with 5GHz Wifi networks.

Got 2 of these Geeni WIFI PLugs, They came with all instruction for installation and how to use them with Alexa and a mobile phone. I plan to install these in the living room where we put up our Christmas tree and where I have a few lamps I would like to control when we are not home. I do like how you can control the plug from anywhere and this will make it easy to turn on and off the lamps when leaving home. They are well constructed and seem really easy to install. Please turn off your breaker before installing or you can shock yourself easily. just some advice. I live in a older house and all our plugs are getting old and these will be a great replacement since we are going wireless on all bulbs and outlets to use with Alexa .
