Questions & Answers

Can this be used with solar array on my roof

Can this be used with solar array on my roof
Asked by: Paul
I would check with the manufacturer of your solar inverter(s). Although this device prevents a back feed from your home service to the grid, your solar inverter would issue so long as it sits downstream of the meter. My grid-tie solar is provided my Enphase and I must kill/open the solar inverter circuit BEFORE engaging my generator interconnect. Otherwise, the Enphase would attempt to back feed to the generator itself and that is not good. So in theory, yes it could BUT the two could not be used concurrently.
