A: No, cement slab or concrete are too conductive for our moisture meters to work properly in them. You would need to buy a "concrete moisture meter", this is not something we manufacture.
A: The HOLD button will freeze the current reading on the screen, this is in case you are positioned in a way that you cant see the screen when taking the reading.
