I want this stand to hold a 15' pole with a flag attached; is this strong enough to do that?

Asked by: Tina
Hmmm it is very heavy and would probably work but I would not leave the flag up in any kind of wind at all. It's just not big enough in diameter I do not think.

Customer Reviews

110 lbs. Patio Umbrella Base in Black is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 431.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Manufacturing defect in one I received The umbrella stand we received was defective. One of the "predrilled" holes was missed in the manufacturing process and only had a small indent without the full threaded hole. Thus 1 of the 3 casters could not be inserted. If the product did not have this manufacturing defect, I believe I would have been pleased with the design and function. The locking casters were heavy duty and the base with its' 100+ pounds would have secured my 10x13 umbrella well and seemed very well made (had mine not been defective). Fortunately I was able to return it to my local home depot for a refund with no problem. I did not reorder because "handling" this item before it is assembled with the wheels was challenging. Unfortunately this is an online order item only and I did not want to reorder and risk a similar situation. The price was very good compared to other umbrella stands considering it's heavy duty function. Wish you could buy this in the store already assembled and wheel it out-Hint Hint Home Depot

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT PRODUCT I have two of these umbrella holders and highly recommend this product! It will hold a larger umbrella very securely. It is heavy, but the wheels and two handles on the base make this reasonably easy to move and reposition. The wheels lock and hold it in place. I have tried to order two more at our Home Depot store, but am told this item is no longer available. One answer to question regarding availability states it is being discontinued!!!! What a shame!!!! A product with huge customer positive responses!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Umbrella stand I searched for hours for a reasonable price for my patio umbrella stand. I found this same stand at 2 other stores on-line but the cost was $265.00 (all 3 stands are 110 lb stands.). more than I paid for my 9 foot umbrella. I purchased the stand and it arrived in 2 days. Easy assembly and sturdy. I only required 90 lbs for a 9 ft umbrella but gald to have the extra just in case. I think Home Depot has this item mis marked for price..It's there best stand for 110 Lbs and the least expensive of all of the ones offered. Nice to be able to move it around the pool with ease..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Stand! I spent endless hours looking for just the right umbrella stand with the weight necessary to safely hold market umbrellas that would not be in a table. This one by far was the best at 110 lbs. and with wheels to move if necessary!! The price is truly astounding compared to anything else I found that had that strength!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like the stand's heavy weight ( 110 ins) which makes less prone to tipping and falling in heavy... I like the stand's heavy weight ( 110 ins) which makes less prone to tipping and falling in heavy winds. The wheels make the stand and the umbrella easy to move. The locks on the wheels are a good feature despite the fact that they are very hard to lock and unlock. I leave them unlocked. The two screws that hold the umbrella pole in the cylinder of the stand are acceptable but I would have preferred a more heavy duty ones. I like the fact that the plastic collars come in three different sizes to fit the different sizes of the umbrella poles. I would have preferred a better sealing material to the bottom of the stand. I bought three stands. One was fine, the second had a little crack at the bottom which I sealed by an epoxy material. The third had a big chip that might have happened during shipping. I took it back and had it exchanged with another one. I thank you for your concern and hope that my comments would be of benefit to you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Holds large umbrella in place and easy to move I have a 14 foot umbrella and this stand holds it in place even with winds. The stand has wheels and handles that come up from the base making it very easy to move. The base is heavy but still moves around the patio with ease.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It does the job, but it's tough to get to the point of using it. We have a lot of significant wind in this area, and this umbrella stand holds my 9' umbrella with very little movement. However, getting it to the point of usability was challenging. It arrived with the packaging torn and crushed (not easy to handle 110 lbs). The base is painted concrete, which has a couple of chunks missing (painting it black so it doesn't show). There was only 1 screw in the box (almost missed it -it was loose in the box) to anchor the umbrella sleeve to the base where there should have been 4. Home Depot folks were great in finding an equivalent that I could use so that was resolved. There were only 3 wheels provided (should be 4), so the base tipped when moved. Home Depot folks found a wheel that would fit the opening in the base and was the correct size, but not the same wheel as the others. So it is stable now and rolls without tipping, but doesn't exactly have the look I would have expected. This stand does hold a free-standing umbrella securely, as represented, but if you are considering this one, plan on a few trips to your nearest Home Depot store for missing parts.
