This framing kit is designed for easy assembly on your own concrete slab.This Getaway Pad home kit by PLUS 1 Homes includes ONLY the steel structure and the necessary components to assemble them.The Home Depot offers most finishings you'll need to complete your personal space such as doors, windows, electrical, plumbing and finishes.The Getaway Pad home kit has allowances in the steel frame structure design for all elements required, offering 620 sq. ft. of total open inside area allowing you to utilize the space the way you desire.
  • This model is designed to be constructed on a concrete slab with no deck option, the deck and flooring system is an upgrade option.
  • **You are required to download the Pre-lim plans from the Additional Resources on The Home Depot website and take them to your local authority for approval and any corrections they require needs to be sent to us BEFORE purchase. Then we can customize their requirements into your Plus 1 Home. If you require assistance with pre-construction services for your project, permits, etc please contact us.
  • Modification to our plans. Are you wanting to modify the plans to suit a new look, change door opening on a different side, add a wall inside or you may have an idea of your own? We can assist, as long as it is in the size of the structure, there may not be any additional costs. Contact us to discuss.

A:  Depending where you are planning on putting it. check your local zoning requirements. upstate NY, you can build anything less than 700sqft without permit but will still need to submit plans so they know how to identify in case of emergency.

          A:  Hello Mike. In the measurement guide (prelim plans) attached to this listing it shows the kitchen is in the living space, opposite the couch. In the plans you can see the Fridge is indicated, that's the side where the mini kitchen is. Remember this is designed to be an ADU/Guest space. There's also a small kitchen upstairs for the BBQ area with a sink and space to place your mini fridge. We do offer a modification upgrade to enlarge the spaces.

            Good Luck IRS!
            Normally with a house, the pre-approval process can be a nightmare: credit history, sufficient income statements, tax return forms. This tiny home is the loophole to all of that malarkey! I am $174k in debt from a degenerative gambling condition. But with as low as 3% down they had it delivered in a week! Now I’m off the grid and won’t ever have to pay those debts. Thanks Home Depot!

                My wife divorced me, but still holds up
                I sold our home for this cabin and told my wife we were moving. It didn't have enough space or windows so she divorced me and took the kids. Plenty of space for a single man though!

                  Just the change I needed
                  Been longing for a simpler life. This structure popped up online and it seemed like fate. Arrived by semi truck to my remote location. Many boxes but the Swedish instructions are easy to follow with pictures.

                    Lost my GF but enjoying the nature.
                    I told my my gf I had bought a house and she could move in. She immediately hated not having windows or doors and left the same night. However I’m enjoying the animals and bugs as they keep me company. Hope it doesn’t rain.

                          Wow! I now in live in a nature preserve
                          I purchased this and had my uncle Rodney and his 3 friends build this in a nature preserve. Lots of wild life and no one knows I’m here it’s great. It only came with the structure I don’t have windows or doors but it’s ok I love nature.
