If you are building any kind of roof, ALWAYS use drip edge, and always use felt paper under shingles, don't forget gutters also, you will not regret it.

Bought this to put on my sister's house because it didn't have a drip edge along the covered porch and some rot had occurred. We were replacing the fascia board so we figured we might as well add a drip edge to try to reduce future rot. It was fairly easy to install, we just lifted up the edge of the shingles and slid the drip edge in. It's a almost flat roof and the shingles were stuck down with tar which made the shingles more difficult to pull up in some areas. So far, the drip edge seems to be helping to keep the water off the fascia.

When it comes to aluminum drip edge this is the gold standard in the business. You can't get any better when it comes to aluminum drip edge. You gotta drip? This is the edge for you. You need a sharp edge? This is the drip for you. Your roofing contractor will have no idea what this is. You should tell him to read the building code. He can find this on R905.2.8. This drip edge is so top notch that it even exceeds the code requirement. Just remember this. When you purchase aluminum drip edge make sure it's from Spain.
