Product Details

Gable Louvers help provide attic ventilation to reduce unwanted heat and moisture which can damage wood or roofing materials. The Vulcan Vent Gable Louver features a honeycomb matrix with an intumescent coating that helps stop the spread of fire. This fire and ember resistant vent is accepted by the California State Fire Marshal and is CH 7A code compliant. Allows fresh air to flow into attic as part of a balanced ventilation system. The Vulcan Gable Louver Vent body is made from Bonderized Steel so it's ready to paint.

            This is a very well made louver vent. It is heavy duty bonderized steel that is ready to paint, and you must use steel paint on it - it should not be used without being painted as bonderized steel is more of a raw finish that shows scratches easily. The filter is quite dense but still allows excellent air flow. My only issue with the design is that the filters are permanently installed and cannot be removed for cleaning. Overall, an excellent well-made product.
