If someone looked at this with a flashlight from the outside, would they be able to see in?
Greetings! I appreciate your inquiry! The Gila Mirror Privacy Window Film provides superior daytime privacy. However, it does not offer nighttime privacy. When it is dark outside and lights are on inside, the film no longer conceals views, meaning someone looking in with a flashlight would likely be able to see inside. For nighttime privacy, products like frosted, rice paper, or decorative films are recommended as they obstruct the view and filter light.
Which product will give me daytime privacy but will let in the most amount of ligit possible? Im only interested in privacy, not light reduction.
Hello Stevie, our Heat Control Light product has the highest visual light transmittance, so it is "lighter" than our other reflective films. Our reflective films offer privacy during the day as they reflect solar light. We also have a Frosted film that filters light that is not as dark as the reflective films. However, it is frosted 24/7 and you cannot see through it.
My TV faces the windows. Will this prevent glare from the light coming in? Will you be able to see the TV show from the outside?
Hello, our Privacy Mirror film is one of our darker films so this blocks up to 82% of the Sun's glare. This should be a good fit for your application. It also will block up to 99% of UV rays.
Can this be used on mirrored closet doors?
Hello, if the objective is to mute the reflectivity of the closet doors then yes, this product would work and would apply to the mirror closet doors as long as the glass is flat and not warped.
Can it be installed on double pane windows?
Hi Stan, due to the heat absorption with this film we do not recommend this product for dual pane windows unless you install it on the exterior side of the glass. This is a vinyl film so it will weather much faster outdoors.
Does the film work on acrylic
Hi Steve, we do not recommend any of our product for Acrylic or Lexan type products as they are designed for glass.
To have complete privacy at night and during day. Can I apply the reflective film and then apply a second layer of the rice paper on top of it?
Hi Chris, we do not recommend stacking films as the heat transfer properties can interfere with the adhesion of the film to the glass. This could create air bubbles under the film and would cause the films to unmount.
Do I install the mirror reflection on the interior or exterior window
