A:  The screw holes for the clips allow the clips to be moved. You will line up your mirror and decide where to place your clips, then screw to the wall. Then you can slide the clips over while you put the mirror in place and slide them back to finish the job.

    A:  You realize this fits only thinner 1/4 or slightty thicker beveled glass and not heavy 1/2" mirrors.

    A:  I do not know the technical number but I would use one every foot on the top and bottom or if you hit stud, ALWAYS more secure the an expansion screw, use those two locations and then place the others are to looks best depending on the location and even spacing. I think every 16 - 24 inches on the sides since I assume you are placing it on a wall and it will not be moving and they will not be holding much weight. I would also replace the stock screws with longer ones for the stud positions and pre-drill the holes (7/64th I think but maybe smaller, check the instructions) since you want them deep which has greater chance of splitting the wood.
