How do you get this rod from falling down repeatedly? I do not have the step-by-step instructions that came on the rod because I thought we had it up correctly. Now it just keeps falling down no matter what we try.
Asked by: Mac
Please extend the rod fully across so it is secure

The commenter who said that there is an adjustment at the ends of the rod is wrong. The ends don't adjust. Extend the rod, twist the middle to tighten ... that's it. The rod has stayed up for three days. We'll see if it continues to stay up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from People Having Issues Are Not Installing Properly The people writing reviews on this shower rod are doing it wrong. Once I figured out how to set the middle adjustment to just about the right width of the shower AND THEN screw (or "unscrew" rather) the circular plastic piece at the exposed end until it tightens against the wall - you can practically hang on this thing like a monkey bar. Just keep screwing that plastic piece exposing the thread. It will look like too much thread is exposed but after awhile it tightens down nicely and you cover it with the pretty cover. Voila'!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shower curtain rod I really like this rod. Easy to install and what I really like is that there are coverings on both sides, so it looks like it is screwed into wall but it is a tension rod so you are able to remove or lower when needed without harming the wall. It has a strong tension and can hold up a heavy curtain.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wow, how do they get away with selling this?? Like many of the other reviewers have said, there is no tension at all against the wall on this rod. It just falls down over and over. Designed incorrectly, apparently. I will be returning this for a refund.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from shower rod I love the new shower rod I purchased especially the chrome finish. I held on to the rod so it's very sturdy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good purchase in terms of quality and value. I liked the ease of installation; and the fact that this fits well with any décor.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Tension shower rod NOT The rod has no tension once you have set the length and therefore it want stay up. After the last fall trying to get the twist lock to set and perhaps stay up the locking mechanism plastic screw inside twisted off with little effort for a 76 year old. Less than 30-days of use so I wouldn't recommend it nor would I buy again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not good Its easy to set the length, but the rod has no tension once you have set the length, making it impossible to stay up. This is a very poor design. Do not purchase
