It’s difficult to pull down the spray. What’s holding it? Is there a way to loosen it up a bit without making it drop down?
Asked by: Rctjmt
Hi Rctjmt. I had the same problem when I first installed mine and found that the spray hose was binding on the plumbing under the sink. Check that and if you have the same situation, reposition the hose and/or move the weight just a little to overcome the binding. Also, as you use the pull down sprayer it will begin to loose some on its natural stiffness.

I want to focus this review of the Glacier Bay faucet on the installation pros and cons. Yes, It is quick and easy to install, very quick and easy. Feed the hoses through the base and escutcheon, drop it into location on the sink, slide the retainer most of the way up the threads, and hand tighten it a little more. That part is really easy. However, installing it per directions probably won't get you a watertight seal. I had to remove mine, apply plumber's putty, and reinstall because there isn't a sufficient gasket formed at the base, and the slip and turn nut doesn't have enough bite to be tightened snugly. Once it gets somewhat snug and probably only needs another half turn to be tight enough, it slips and loosens up. So put some plumber's putty around the sink cutouts from the start and be prepared for some slippage on the threads as you approach the connection becoming tight enough. If you use putty and get the nut to the point where it is just about to slip, the seal should be good enough. The faucet looks nice and works well, seamlessly toggling from full spray to jets. If it lasts, it was a good bargain.

Nice chrome pull down faucet ,( not plastic ) Will install this after I tie up some loose ends in my powder room which I'm remodeling. Seems well made and has weight to it. The faucet head has a button that will give you a shower like spray of a stream of water flow. ( instructions included ) all parts are included in this to install with no additional parts to purchase. It is not a magnetic head which seats the nozzle in the spout instead it uses a weight system connected to the water hose ( underneath the sink ) once pulled out of the spout the weight will return it back into the spout. Most faucets like this have the same set up. Will post more pictures once installed in a few weeks ( hopefully ). I highly recommend this faucet and it has a limited lifetime guarantee. The spouts does swing around and will reach all double bowl sinks with room to spare. All supply hoses are rubber and braided with nylon mesh.

I really wanted to give this faucet a 5 star rating because it met almost all of my expectations. While I loved the stainless steel finish & pull down spout, it was the “Fast Mount” installment feature that really sold me. I’ve had my faucet installed for about 3 weeks now, & although it works fine, at least once a week I have had to go under the sink & re-tighten the thread (the fast mount feature), per it continues to become a little loose which results in the faucet moving when turning it on/off, using the pull down sprayer, & turning it side to side. I’m not sure if I possibly have a slightly defected one or if this is normal, but it is because of this reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a great faucet. The texture and color are very nice. It's a very simple and elegant design. The handle has a great feel to it too. Installing the unit was made rather easy with the specially designed connection device. No need for tightening screws or bolts in awkwardly small spaces, just twist the connector on with your hands. Super simple. However, the head does not connect or disconnect very easily from the spout. You must pull fairly hard on the head for it to release from the spout and the same to mount it back to the spout. Otherwise, this is a great faucet.
