          The handle itself is just fine, and looks good. Unfortunately, the kit is missing a critical component: the hexagonal white plastic adapter that fits over the actual valve stem, and adapts it into this handle. Why is this necessary? Because the old adapter can be stuck inside the old handle, with no reasonable way to get it out. I think I would have had to melt my old one out, and that wouldn't have done me much good. A clever and resourceful person at a local plumbing supplies shop was able to cobble together some sort of makeshift adapter, and thus we were able to use the new handle. Otherwise, it would have been useless to us.
