Leaks after just a month of use…
A month after installation, the valve/shower cartridge started to go bad, leaking approximately 1/2 gallon of water every hour. Better off spending the extra money on something higher quality.

Unwelcome Surprise: Non-standard Temp Control
Hi, I'm surprised that there's no mention of the non-standard function and temperature control features. I am going to have to swap out these sets that were already installed in a new house. Most single-handle faucets allow the user to mix cold/hot water as the water flow is increased from point A-point B. These have TWO set temperatures: you can only go to Point A or Point B. There is no mixing of temperatures, which doesn't allow for the user to choose their desired temp. Bad design!

We love the color and look of this, we used it for our master bathroom update! The only thing to note is that when installed, there was very slow water flow. I think there was an eco option valve in place to reduce water usage, but there was not enough pressure at all. We had our handyman remove the valve and now the water is flowing fine. Not super hard pressure but does the trick!

Glacier bay continues to turn out high quality products at very reasonable prices. We bought this shower set, primarily because my wife really wanted to black on white tile and was looking for a rain head shower. This product has performed to date flawlessly. Very impressed with the fit and finish!!! Operation of the handle is very smooth and water flow is excellent from the rain head. If you want luxury at a reasonable price, this one is it.

Very nice tub and shower faucet set. I really like the styling and the handle feels solids. There are some aspects better than far more expensive products and some things I am not as happy with.
Pros:
1. Great look.
2. Foam water seal on handle face plate.
3. "Sliding" tub faucet (makes space out easier).
Cons:
1. Valve looks a lot smaller than a Kohler. Is it as robust?
2. Instructions are not very good. They do not provide sizes of pipe needed to interface with tub spout. The hole seems really small so it does not look standard.

My wife and I selected this tub and shower set to review this past month so that we could give our bathroom a fresh new look with new glass panel shower doors replacing a curtain and this new shower set replacing the water-spotted dull chrome tub and shower set that came already installed when we bought the house. Initially I intended to perform the full install and do a video review part way through to show how the set works, but I hurt my back and can't stand more than a few minutes, so this review is prior to installation.
Overall, I felt the quality was good, but not excellent due to the plastic construction of the shower head unit, which I felt was a lousy move by the manufacturer to cut costs when all the other parts of the set are metal. Installation time could also have been made shorter had they opted for snap fittings or Shark Bite fittings.

The Glacier Bay Oswell Single-handle 1-spray tub and shower faucet in Matte black is a great complement to the hardware we have in our bathroom. The package comes with everything needed to install this new single-handle hardware. It comes with a valve. The installation of the valve will require soldering pipes to the valve. It will also require opening the wall to reach the shower pipes. Otherwise the shower head and the spout are easy to install. I’m happy with this Glacier bay model. Works really well.
