Hi Ben, thank you for asking about the Glacier Bay Rustproof Aluminum Adjustable Tension Double Curved Shower Rod! Unfortunately, this shower rod is only adjustable from lengths of 50 inches to 72 inches. You may need an over-sized shower rod to fit in your shower area. Try searching for 86-inch shower rods on the Home Depot website. Thanks!
Shower curtains are hung from Shower Curtain hooks that slip over rod. You then hang shower curtain to the hooks. Shower curtains are not like window curtains.
Well it is too late now. I returned the item and replaced it with a mountable rod.
About 6” of additional space on the inside of the shower and takes up 9” on the outside rod. I hang a liner on the inside rod which hangs inside the shower and a decorative outer layer on the outside rod that hangs outside the shower. No contact between the layers assures no leak through.
This will fix your loose cap. Go to the plumbing dept. , buy a small roll of 1/4 inch clear vinyl tubing then cut 4 pieces into 8 3/4 inch lengths. Lay them flat on a table and with a Sharpe marker draw a line on the inside of each one , they have a natural curve . Cut along line on the inside wall with a small pair of scissors or carefully with a utility knife. Starting at the dimple run the tubing around the sharp edge . Do the same on the other side. Do this on both end caps. Snap on the end cap, the tubing will fill that gap.
No holes required. Sticky friction contact with the walls.
I had to cut it. It was no problem with my mini circular saw with a metal cutting blade.
That curtain arrangement would work.
No.. must use hooks or rings
Yes or you can use the double hooks and use one rod for the curtains and the other for towels, etc.
