I’m sorry, I just saw this question. It was heavy for me to lift. I’m going to take a guess and say probably weighed somewhere between 15-20 pounds? I could be wrong. I’m sure if you call Home Depot that can give you more accurate information. So sorry.

The screw holes of the top panel are wrong. I contact the company, however, no response. Try the other item.

How much space does there need to be between the toilet tank and the wall?

I only had a few inches. No space at all is okay too as long as you dont put the lower bar that goes behind the toilet closer to the floor, its the last piece it might not be needed

It would probably be easier to go to your local Home Depot and purchase a wooden dowel. They sell them.

What are the dimensions of the legs?

Asked by Gsoc July 3, 2020

Answer

HI, thank you for asking about the Glacier Bay Shaker Style Spacesaver. The legs are 33.5 inches tall (to the point where they meet the spacesaver storage area). So, the spacesaver can fit over any standard-height and some taller toilets with this 33.5-in. clearance. The legs themselves are sturdy and "L-shaped" if that helps better describe what is shown in the product images here. Thank you!

There are two sets of holes for the bottom support piece. One was at about 7-7.5" the other at about 10-10.5" one of the two should work for you.

Could this be used just as a freestanding and not over the toilet? I’d like to put a laundry basket in the open spot

It needs to be bolted against the wall or else it can tip over. It's not very stable.

Does the job
I really like myself but I am not sure if it's not made well or if it waz my contractors that put it together wrong but it's wobbly and the one door looks uneven. To be fair I did have a lot of problems with my contractor so I wouldn't doubt if he put together wrong lol. Anyway, it does the job and it looks good so I am happy and I definitely would recommend it.

My order arrived fairly quickly and the instructions were pretty straight forward. Assembly took about 2 hours from start to finish. The hardest part was trying to align the top cabinet portion to the shelf below it, but once it was secured, the rest of the process went fairly smoothly. I read several reviews complaining that the particle board used to cover the back opening of the cabinets was thin and flimsy (and it is rather flimsy) so I bought clear shellac wood spray and coated the particle board the night before. It seems to have helped to make it a bit more sturdy and will hopefully guard against any potential moisture. Overall, I really like the outcome and look and the cabinets. I would purchase this product again.

Cheap, not worth it
I was very excited about this piece and did a lot of research. However, it’s cheap and not solid wood, and the legs are held by cheap dowels, so the pieces, particularly the leg assembly that holds up the cabinet, are not sturdy at all. In between assembling, I accidentally knocked the side rails over and the piece that holds the individual rail together, including the dowel, snapped. Since it’s MDF, it’s almost impossible to glue back together. The tools are labeled clearly and I’m grateful for that, but it means little when I’m not sure the cabinet can hold up its own weight. I’m giving up on this one and looking to find something made out of actual wood. Even if it costs $100 more, it’s worth not worrying about the whole thing collapsing.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your purchase of this spacesaver. This spacesaver is made from engineered wood as this kind of wood is well-suited to damp bathroom environments. I'd like to let you know that the manufacturer does have a U.S.-based Customer Service department available to call Monday - Friday from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM EST. Representatives are available to help troubleshoot any assembly or installation problems/concerns that you might have. Thank you for your business and we hope you'll give us another try in the future!

On a scale from one to ten, as far as ease of assembly, I give it a 6. Follow the instructions, don't jump ahead. The only bad part is putting the back on. (One of the very last steps.) It's easy to miss the area to insert the screw. It looks beautiful. I do recommend attaching it to the wall as it is not a real sturdy piece. We attached addition towel holders to the side for more towel space.

Great shelf!
We needed to refresh our master bathroom, as I was sick of looking at the same boring beige color. So, we repainted and found this shelf online. Price was right, quality is not bad, better than what I’ve seen for shelves that were much more expensive. Was pretty easy to put together, I had it done in a little over an hour, before my husband even got home. (I work from home, so I got to it first lol) It’s sturdy enough that it can hold all my toiletries in it, and if you anchor it to the wall, it hella with the stability (less wobbly when opening the doors) I’m almost tempted to purchase an additional one for the hallway bathroom that my kids use. We’ll see how well it holds up with their abuse lol Overall, I’d choose this again over any of the other ones I’ve seen.

Dope etagere!
Yes this etagere has several components to assemble yet if you have patience, then your in for an awesome treat. If you don’t have the patience then pay for assembly because if you put this together with resentment, then you will have a wonky piece that you will find fault with ( of ur own doing). This cabinet allows a functionality that I didn’t have before, also the piece highlights my aesthetic. The directions and the component are extremely organized which allows you to take your time and have a real quality end result. Add your own glue for extra durability and make certain to strap to the wall.

nice looking, but not so good quality
I have a mixed feeling for this product. Among similar products, its price is unbeatable. And even the look is pretty good, compared to even some of those pricier products. Here are the cons people need to be aware of: 1. Installation is very difficult. There are like 200 pieces to figure out. Screws alone with suck your energy because why there are more 10 different types of screws? It took me two half days to get it completely installed. 2. Super cheap material. It is not made from regular composite, but some thing cheap. Its white looks comes from a very thin layer of paper. This thing won't last in the bathroom where moisturized air is common. Whenever there is water drop over the edge, you can literally see the thin paper surface gets soaked. 3. Hinge are not well made. It wobbles, making unpleasant noises especially when the door is closing. I am on the fence of returning this product. If not because of COVID-19, I would have gone to the store already and returned it. I still want a over-the-toilet storage solution, but definitely something with good quality.

While it looks great on the interior, the bottom shelf of the cabinet portion is damaged because it was SO thin, that when I put it together, it was immediately damaged. I did not screw the bolt too tightly (which it tells you to be careful about in the instructions) but I still have damage on both sides. I'd recommend the company consider making the shelf (part C) much thicker to avoid this. It was also not easy to put together. I'm glad I had an electric screwdriver, which made it doable, but it did take many hours (probably 4-5) to put it together solo. Beyond that, I do think it looks great. Considering the price, I wasn't expecting the highest quality. I was limited in buying options as I needed something relatively high since my apartment's toilet is about 34" high (higher than most, it seems). This does fit well over it, and it does look nice. But, if at all possible, I'd appreciate a new shelf/part C, thanks.
