No I haven’t experienced that issue. Maybe needs more tape around the thread or you may have a slightly defective unit.

the hole size won't limit the speed compared with the flow restriction in BOTH the shower head and the valve. The diverter can handle well over the flow allowed for a shower head. Measure the actual rate of water coming through your shower head (bucket and a stop-watch). most shower heads will only allow 1.6 to 2.0 gallons/minute. Since today BOTH the shower head AND the valve will have flow restriction, I remove the restrictor from the shower head and let the valve do the job, you'll get decent water pressure.

Does this contain a restrictor? It seems to have reduced the flow to my shower head.

restrictor is built into the shower head, however if you've put the connection to your head through a hose (as in a hand-held shower), the hose adds restriction and the shower head itself has restriction built in. Since the valve ALSO has restriction often you can get weak pressure. I always remove the restrictor from the shower head when the valve also has restriction

Is it suposed to swivel? Move after it's installed? It leaks BAD where it swivels. It doesn't say on package it swivels.

what are the thread sizes of the connections?

half inch the standard size of all shower heads. I don't remember if they are tapered pipe threads or not but it will work with all shower heads, all flex-hoses for hand-held showers since they all use the same size. I think the thread is not tapered as these connections use rubber washer seals and don't use thread-tape.

Attractive brushed nickel finish, easy to install, easy to operate, and effective.
We wanted to add a handheld shower to the existing fixed shower head, and this Glacier Bay Shower Diverter in Brushed Nickel made it possible. It fits standard 1/2" shower arms and handheld hoses. Simply remove the old shower head, clean the threads, wrap with teflon tape (not included) and screw on the diverter. Don’t over tighten! Then attach the shower head and handheld hose to the diverter’s outlets. Pull the knob up to divert water to the shower hose (lower outlet), or push it down for the shower head (straight-through outlet). Note that it’s “either/or” - It does not have a “middle setting” that sends water both ways at the same time. The pics are from a chrome version I installed in another shower, but the shape and operation are identical. We’ve been using it for a week so it’s too soon to tell how it will hold up, but it feels well made. Model #3075-548

Have been wanting to add a handheld shower to my shower stall for awhile now. Picked up this diverter to add to my current shower head so I could attach sprayer. This was easy to install and made of high quality material. The 3 way selector was a great surprise because we can now operate both the shower and the sprayer or one of the other. So glad I got this.
