This sink drain and strainer was easy to install with a screwing style mounting system and looks really good in the stainless sink i have in my kitchen.
Installed two of these in our double sink.
So over time the part in the bottom of the strainer came loose and no longer allows to screw the strainer down, the nut is now on the bottom of the strainer.
Excellent sink strainer. Like, why the other ones exist is beyond me. These are flush with the bottom of the sink, trap a lot of solid waste, and do a great job plugging the drain, but to plug the drain you have to specifically screw it down a few turns. The 1/4 turn standard style strainers just never really work that well by comparison.
Special thing to note about the threads on the bottom to which you'd attach a tail piece. You absolutely must use their nut. The threads are strangely "shaved down". If you are trying to attach a different style tail piece that has a captive nut you will be disappointed, the plastic wont have enough "bite" on the metal threads to hold with any strength.
It's a nice strainer, good stout material, good threads, good price. I really like the positive action of the Spin Lock strainer, it stays about where you set it, even when bumped which I can't say about the pop-in units.
