Questions & Answers

Plumbers putty or not?

Instructions only show using rubber washer between top flange and top of sink. Does not mention plumber's putty. I've never installed a sink drain without plumbers putty before. is this correct?
Asked by: Ruste
I used plumbers putty between the strainer and my sink. Below the sink I used the rubber washer along with the paper washer between the threaded nut and the underside of the sink. No problems with leaks at all.
