I took down my old ceiling tiles which left glue spots on the ceiling. Would I need to remove the glue spots or will the panels be able to go over them

The information included for these on the Home Depot website say they are made of tin and yet many of the answers say they are made of plastic. Which is it?
Definitely not tin. In the description, if you read the fine print, it says, "faux" tin. They are a thin PVC like material. I think they look just as nice as tin panels and much, much inexpensive and easier to work with, just my opinion.
Solo job? Can these be put up by someone working alone? How quickly does the glue dry - do you have to hold them up to the ceiling for a while?
I recommend getting some kraken utra tack glue, which has an initial tack time of 5 seconds.
